I'm tired of the daily promo

Just received this email which claims the promo ends in 5+ days.

 

 

On the main Celebrity page it shows this version ends tomorrow night

 

 

 

2 Days ago it was 2nd Guest 75% off and up to $200 discount (not OBC)

Yesterday it was 2nd Guest 75% off and $50 OBC

 

It's just crazy.

I don’t get those marketing emails, also don’t get PUP emails either.  Both stopped about 3 -4 months ago.🤔

Yes it states the longevity for the overall program (when the fancy name runs out).  But the daily thrashing of the "extras" I find very annoying.

We get 2 to 3 emails per day.  I really wish they would quit spamming us.  One email a week (unrelated to a scheduled and paid cruise) is plenty!

This one ends and they have a sale right after it...  Why have a sale when the prices are very similar from day to day?

Or just use the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email.

I do not get these emails and only realize them when they are posted here.... LOL

 

Which is great as those who choose to get them can spend more time posting about them as opposed to opting out, go wonder.

Part of the problem which is most likely intentional, their marketing email is the same address their regular emails specific to your sailing

I am really surprised the only option was to unsubscribe from everything. Other companies give you the option to receive less emails sometimes which I would have done. Send me at most one email a week and I would have stayed but daily emails drive me bonkers.

Out of interest, can anyone remember the last time when there wasn't a 'sale' on?! As in, has there ever been a time when they've tried selling cabins at what they claim (during 'sales') are full/regular price?

It is just marketing.  If tired of it, easy to ignore or move to Trash.  Or to Spam.

Yes, but very bad marketing if you can't get the end date of your promo correct in 2 places and terms change before the reported end date albeit the terms improved.

reminds me of one of these places that I would drive by everyday --  I think they were going out of business in the final days for years  (not this exact place - this is some random photo I snagged on the web)

I don't opt out because: 

1. it's the same address as their cruise emails

2. you have to opt in to get moveup emails

3. you have to opt in to get emails regarding powerup points

In total, the three above represent about 1 email a week.  Reasonable.

I want to opt out of the 3-4 times per day fake sale spams.  When my current cruise is over, I will indeed unsubscribe.

Have just paid off the credit card for my sailing in September is a SS. I truly fear the day when it is not 75% off the second passenger. I feel that they have got themselves into a bit of a marketing mess with their pricing . The constant emails are just a reminder of this. It seems surprising to me if you are trying to position yourself in the upper premium/luxury end you would feel a need to spam as often as they do. Alas marketing is not my thing
