MAGNETS

Hello All

 

I have a quick question for a friend. I have never sailed with MSC in the past so i couldn't answer her inquiry. On past cruises I have taken, I was able to apply  magnetic hooks on the walls for hanging odds and ends. Does this work with MSC?

We have used magnets with no problem on Seaside, at least on the walls. Never tried the door.

I always purchase one magnet in each port and line them up on a cabin wall as the cruise progresses. I've been on three Seaside class ships (Seaview/Seashore/Seaside) and have been able to line my magnets up every time.

I did that once as well on an extended Mediterranean cruise - I think it is a great idea for the cabin.

Forgot to mention that I also purchase the ship's magnet to begin the port lineup. At home, the magnets eventually make it to our cruise wall, lol.

We used magnets on the ceiling of Seaside. 

Currently on Splendida, one part of the wall they don't work. All of the others are the ceiling is fine.

We have a bunch and they are very handy.

 

Search, for example, Neosmuk magnetick hooks on Amazon. They are available in various "strengths."  We got the 100lb ones (although lesser strength is fine).

How about doors on the Seascape? Will magnets stay on the door?

I think I must have bought weak ones as anything I hung on the wall just slid down but was perfect on the ceiling on Preziosa recently.

Was great for hanging the shoe tidy thing too as the over door brackets were too wide for the bathroom door.

I was unable to stick the sheet magnets to the door, and the only ones that worked were these:

I glued them to the back of the figurines I purchased and used a "magnets".

 

but premade magnets that have a magnetic sheet coating only stuck to the cabin walls. I previously used them on the RCI and Princess ship cabin doors without a hitch.
