We spent two months on the Maasdam in 2016 going to and around Australia and really liked the ship in its old configuration. We’ll see what it’s looking like coming out of dry dock this week. Besides the upcoming 48 day cruise on it, we have 21 days in Jan, 2019 booked to Sri Lanka.

While the Maasdam can never replace the "Elegant Explorer" is is certainly doing a good job becoming the Exotic Explorer. We booked the Trans-Pacific Alaksa, Russia and Japan - to all sorts of new ports for us.

Let's hope this new InDepth concept works and grows a new fan base for this last of the smaller older traditional (not chopped up) HAL ships. Happy travels to embarkation.
