Name of Cunard's new ship?

Hi all,

I understand there will be another Cunard ship joining the fleet sometime in the next couple of years. Does anyone know what it will be called, are we running out of Queen's to name it after?

The thread BlueRiband provided gives our collective thoughts (consensus seems to be Queen Anne if you don’t want to read the whole thing) - but the official answer is no, we don’t officially know what it will be called yet. I wonder if we are in for a bit more info some time soon?

Could be Queen Camilla by then.

Queen Camilla- I dout it- even though there would be nothing to say against it- one day she will be Queen Consort- but old Lilibeth is still fit and will carry on. My favorite would still be Queen Alexandra! ( Consort 1901 until 1910)

Queen Berengaria is my choice.

Name "Queen (something)", keeps the marketing men happy.

She was a Queen consort, wife of Richard I.

Revives a previous Cunard ship name, so lots of tradition.

Finishes with an "ia", so keeps the Cunard purists pleased.

The blind Queen- no prommenade deck as all the other Cunarder´s - just a walkway with a nice view of organge glowing lifeboats..!

I think if Cunard are branching out with a ship that isn't regarded as a proper Cunard ship it might as well be called Drag Queen.

Or just be more generalistic with Queen Regnant.

Queen Jane (approximately..with a nod to Bob Dylan). Could be a '60's classic rock themed thing. There was a historical Queen Jane who reigned for just 9 days; better known as Lady Jane Grey, who met her end in the Tower of London.

Anne of Cleaves and Caroline of Brunswick were reportedly quite plain looking

The name of the New Ship could very well be “Caronia” as this is a Cunard Name that has been used on previous Ships.

I'm thinking it's going to be Queen Anne.

If it were up to a vote, I'd throw my support behind Queen Berengaria for reasons already stated so well!

Even though this is at least he third thread started on this subject, its still fun.

I like Queen Anne whose nick-name was Brandy Nan for her love of fine French brandy. Cunard could have so much fun with that. Of course there would have to be a Brandy and Cognac bar, Nan's Brandy Stand???

If they do Caronia for the name perhaps a Green Livery?

I think lately they like to use a Queen's Name and keep the name short exc. for Elizabeth.

We would like Queen Anne.

Caronia's name is enjoying a well deserved retirement. She was a pleasure to have sailed on her.
