interior stateroom on Solstice - bring own shampoo?

we will soon be on the Solstice in an interior stateroom.

for those of you who have been in an interior room - should we bring our own shampoo/conditioner and soap?

on one of our past cruises, we found that due to cost cutting, our interior stateroom did not have shampoo/conditioner provided. thanks to our obliging room attendant, this was resolved.

would like to be prepared this time around.

Sailed on an S class ship in an interior cabin last year. No such issues.

You will have shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, and lotion, as well as a small box containing a couple of Q-tips and a couple of cotton balls. If you need more of anything, ask your room attendant.

No cost cutting would not explain the lack of soap and shampoo. your steward just forgot them. All rooms are provided the basics. If you want more of anything, just leave a note for your room steward when you leave the room. That way neither of you forget the request.

Was this on Celebrity, RCCL, or Princess? Celebrity has always provided these items in ALL staterooms.

I agree. Much prefer my 3 OZ. containers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Celebrity's - not so much.

RCCL uses dispensers in the shower for shampoo and conditioner, and bar soap on the sink. They work OK for me, DW always brings her own.

We just sailed on RCI and got shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash and bar soap. All was replaced- m ore than I needed I left several tube in the bathroom. It's been our same experience on Celebrity. Products were all fine for me.

I read that Rick Steves, the quintessential light packer, always brings his own shampoo and uses the stuff the hotel supplies if he needs to wash anything by hand. So that's what I do too.

No, this is a pic of how the vanity looked upon boarding the Allure and stashing our stuff. A water glass, soap in a dish and a shoe wipe(I think).

You have no worries, Celebrity is better at taking care of their guest than that.

Wife brings her own conditioner. All the other products are great according to her. Since I would be happy using motor oil, not an issue for me!

 

I note the shampoo works great for washing things in the sink!

Royal Caribbean only provides bar soap, and a combination soap/shampoo dispenser located the shower. Individual bottles of shampoo, conditioner etc are not provided.

I use Kerastase products at home and find the Celebrity "standard room" products just fine for a week. I actually prefer them to the "upgraded" Bvlgari products they provide in the suites.
