dabear99211 Posted July 17, 2016 #126 Share Posted July 17, 2016 Well, I've been unloading my stuff on Ebay. :) Add this to the list. With 20 Carnival "gifts" last year, and looking for 4 more next month (on top of the 6 already this year). I'm overloaded and don't keep any of it. Maybe you should just not be so greedy and keep taking the gifts and selling them, don't take them at all or take them and give them to someone on the ship that is not as special as you are. We do give our extras to new friends on the ship but Carnival gives us the gifts and it is up to the recipient what to do with it.

hockeyluver Posted July 21, 2016 #131 Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) what do you use your tervis cups for? They are great for cold drinks out by the pool, we also use ours for coffee travel mugs. They keep our coffee nice and hot !! I would love some more, but unfortunately we wont be cruising this winter first winter since 2003 !!! We are going to give an All Inclusive a try, going with a big group of friends. I gave a tervis to a lady I played trivia with and she was smart aleky (sp?) about it so I took it back and gave it to her mother. Sorry I did now. crusinpsychRN Posted July 21, 2016 #133 Share Posted July 21, 2016 what do you use your tervis cups for? Coffee I take to work. It does a better job with cold things than hot. Just had to heat up this cup of coffee.

stargate fan Posted July 21, 2016 #135 Share Posted July 21, 2016 what do you use your tervis cups for? I use my Tervis Tumblers for hot and cold drinks as well as smoothies. I love my Tervis Tumblers. They are dishwasher safe, have a lifetime warranty, and, best of all, are made in America. I dropped the first one I had received, the one with the Carnival patch. The inside came apart from the outside. I was so upset. I called the company. I was instructed to complete the form on the website and send it with the TT. One week later, I got a brand new Carnival patch TT in the mail. Great customer service!

I've gotten all of these as well. In addition, I've been on a few "casino fare" cruises, and they offer tervis tumblers, decks of cards, dice/craps game, and some great over sized beach towels, all with the players' club logo on them. I for one, am happy that Carnival keeps rotating their give away as well as adding new items. If I can't use something, I'll find someone on board who will want it. JaniceB Posted July 21, 2016 #139 Share Posted July 21, 2016 I like the new design on the tumblers but a YETI one would be really nice. I can't believe how long it takes ice to melt in a YETI.

I'm hoping for another set of the packing cubes - I really like them. :) As a Floridian, I have a good stock of Tervis tumblers. Wendy

I happen to have two sets of packing cubes that are just sitting around. They've never been used and are still in their plastic wrap. Might we consider a trade? Sparky2 Posted July 26, 2016 #144 Share Posted July 26, 2016 Wish they would give us a choice so we can pick what we can use I agree with you. We do B2B every January so receive 4 of the same. I was happy with 4 tervis tumblers which was our first platinum gift. The rest of the duplicates I keep 2 to give one to a non-platinum friend. Only once have we been able to change the 2nd set of gifts for something else. We exchanged 2 of the toiletry travel bags for 2 small journals. I'd love to come home with 2 different gifts for 2 cruises.

So happy we didn't get the baseball cap, game board, or insulated coffee mugs. I'm on vacation as I type this and I have my CCL cosmetic bag with me & love it. Back in September of 2005 when I got my first Platinum Card, it was called Concierge Club and you had to sail 15 times. We still laugh about the crew telling us to put away our Discover cards. They had never seen a card like that and had no clue what it was. We were the only passengers on the ship to have them according to GS. We got Navy and Silver Nylon tote bags with Concierge Club embroidered on them. We used several of them until they fell apart and probably still have 5 or 6 still in the packages. We got 4 of those metal thermos things that they advise you not to use because of lips getting stuck in the narrow opening. We have several unopened picture frames and a couple in use. The Duffel bags are still in the packages. We gave the journals and "leather" notepads to our grandkids. We have 4 Tervis tumblers, but could use some new ones. My husband uses the triangular backpack on his boat. We have been on the Magic where I was Diamond and DH was Platinum and received no gifts because of a screw up by GS. Although we had the right Sail and Sign Cards and our boarding passes were correct, they never could get us on the correct list in spite of promising to do so all week. So, housekeeping was not notified nor given a gift for us. Our steward was mortified when he saw the Sail and Sign cards. He too tried to get it fixed to no avail. Never got the invite to the Diamond event, nor even to the old style past guest party. Our DS, who was gold, laughed his A## off all week! Sure would have liked to get the drink coupons, which they promised to send to the cabin, but never did. All the GS people knew us by name by the end of the week. The icing on the cake was the call from the CD at 4pm the last day asking if I enjoyed my Diamond cruise. He regretted making that call.
