LIVE from GRANDEUR of the Seas - July 8, 2017

Recommended Posts

I can tell you I seen Bo the casino manager on the Empress in march.

Also I talked to Daryl the assistant bar manager, when he signed off and went on vacation at the end of May. He said Bipel was going on vacation also. And I believe Melvin is still there, he was as of May.

I also talked to Francis he was onboard in the diamond lounge.

I booked a month on that ship and wanted to make sure my regular people were going to be there. [emoji3]

You have only been living it daily with their carpie internet. :D

I know it's against the rules of this forum to criticize spelling, so I'm just going to say that I'm glad the internet was not carppy all the time. This has been a very enjoyable review. I think we should all chip in and send Tim and Courtney on many more cruises.:D

It opened the morning of day 2.

Awesome! Thanks much!

Love reading the updates... and the pictures are great....

Will be on in October, and I don't mind Grandeur... wish they would bring another ship from the "class" into the port - but not Enchantment.,... been on that already!

Bring her home, I MIGHT see you tomorrow, or not. But thanks for the sneak preview. I hope the Viking Crown will be as energetic as yours. When I was on her in late February/Early March, despite a full sold out ship, there was maybe 10 people in there on any given night.

For those of us on the next leg, who have been following, WE GOT 30 1/2 HOURS BEFORE WE DEPART!!!!.

Once we did a week before Thanksgiving and no problems, but the daylight is too short for my sun goddess wife.. I like the idea of Bermuda in July. Baltimore is only a 400 mile drive for us and I can wear my "I don't normally hate, but when I do, I hate the Baltimore Ravens" shirt.

So that was you that I saw (as I was wearing my "If it's Brown, Flush it Down" t-shirt).

In all serious, here's a suggested route change coming this way. Try getting on I-79 south to Mo-town, then I-68 east through Cumberland to I-70 at Hancock. Fewer tolls and much easier/relaxing drive. I can't stand the PA Turnpike personally - and we all know what a cluster Breezewood can be.

Wow this is new. The Windjammer is having a one-night-only, $49 all-you-can-eat special tomorrow night. Seems too good to be true. We'll probably end up there. You would have to be a real idiot to not take advantage of that deal.

and the first 100 peeps to fine dine get 50% off and a coupon for a free meal at the scrumptious seaside Park Cafe....:D

The Quest. This is where Pee Wee Herman might be found tonight. Just watch out if they ask for a man's trousers.;p

As for your sunglasses you might find them in the straw market next time you visit Labadee.

Been following , that's my family in this picture

Great idea Bob.

I'm off to set up a Go Fund Me account for Tim and Courtney right now. It can be found under the name "Alter Lateral Flash Cruisers". I can only imagine the description I could give it, let alone how many would give to the cause. :')

Thanks for that, I was looking at the route and contemplating this for next year. Maybe time it around an O's game.

You mean bring her home in one piece, even if it means duct taping the lifeboat davits.

~26 1/2 hours now! But my vacation starts in about 3 hours with the drive down. Just need to wrap up my workday, take down the recycling and load up the car while waiting for Mrs. nolesrule to get home from work. The kids are bouncing off the walls.

Oh being from Pittsburgh I need one of those shirts when I sail from Baltimore also lol😊

I have found I enjoy the road trip part as well, but I don't know what these Kids you refer to are. ;) My road trip starts in 1540 hours.

Kids are like most hobbits with an appetite for Windjammer, but with less hair on their toes, and a much larger sense of adventure.

For those keeping score at home (or on Grand Door), now ~24.5 hours. The Mrs. is on her way home. Just trying to figure out how to get the last suitcase and backpacks in the car without crushing the aforementioned hobbits... errr, kids.
