Rare Cruise Raider Posted April 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 5, 2018 I saw a one night cruise earlier this year for taxes only ... other than that, the cruise fare was zero charge, $19 pp for a balcony. If I hadn't already been booked on another sailing during the same exact time, I would have gone for it. It took you all the way through to final payment for the zero charge. They could have just responded with "too bad" but instead offered you at a balcony cabin. Was the price of the balcony cabin the same as the price of an interior as mentioned by another poster? If so, you don't seem to really want go on the cruise; you just wanted to get something for nothing. Do you know of any other cruise line that would have honored an obvious on-line mistake? The price online was showing a $700/pp price drop from what we paid. Sent screen shots to our TA who couldn't find the same rates; she called Princess who couldn't find the same rates & weren't interested in our screen shots & wouldn't honor the price. I have seen a number of what are probably mistakes in pricing, but I did not expect they would be honoured. I do agree with you that IT problems like this need to be dealt with, but trying to cash in on them, knowing they are a mistake, and then getting angry is not a reasonable approach.
