allentownahoy Posted December 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2018 Would love to get a cappuccino and hang out before cabins are open and we get our actual sea pass.
mets123 Posted December 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2018 Probably not. Your access is coded on the magnetic strip on your seapass card.

While the answer no is correct, there is no magnetic stripe on Anthems seapass cards, as they use embeded RFID chips. To the OP: You can always try and knock on the door to see if someone will open it for you.
robtulipe Posted December 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2018 (edited) Also could try to enter the D lounge by the door that leads directly to the Music Hall lounge if the main entry door is locked. Often that side door is left unlocked as it doesn't have a RFID pad. Edited December 9, 2018 by robtulipe
Bee Guy Posted December 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2018 I have always been given a sea pass card before boarding. Is Anthem different?

You can try to unlock by sliding the paper in between lock and door frame.... 1

It started with the Quantum class and has now moved to many ships in the past 6 months or so. Edited December 9, 2018 by Ourusualbeach
Namelocg Posted December 9, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 9, 2018 On Mariner last week the diamond lounge door was propped open at noon when I boarded. I need my card to enter for happy hour.

Yes, on the Anthem you will use your printed ( BARCODED ) Set Sail Pass for drinks or whatever UNTIL the staterooms are ready and then you will find your Seapass CARDS in an envelope by you Stateroom door. No, it will not. In all of my Anthem cruises, I only had success once. The Diamond Concierge was at his desk, I knocked on the door, we made eye contact, and he begrudgingly let me in. 😉
lakelorain Posted December 9, 2018 #11 Share Posted December 9, 2018 When we were on in August, the Concierge let us in. Just showed our Set Sail Pass.
CruiseKeeper Posted December 9, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 9, 2018 We also use the back door. Approximately 10 times we have found it unlocked. We’ve not had luck at the concierge lounge even after the long walk back there.
SkaterJasp Posted December 9, 2018 #13 Share Posted December 9, 2018 If you have a wow band you can exchange it for one that works on anthem during embarkation and it’ll open the door before you get your seapass. If you don’t have a wow band, you can purchase one.
steveru621 Posted December 9, 2018 #14 Share Posted December 9, 2018 I don't believe Anthem uses a mag stripe. Only RFID.
BND Posted December 10, 2018 #15 Share Posted December 10, 2018 We went to the DL on our trip in Oct on Anthem after we boarded. Someone let us in, but the back door that opens to the Music Hall was unlocked/open so others were able to get in that way.
racerxspeedy Posted December 10, 2018 #16 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Same problem on Symphony. Luckily another cruiser was nice enough to help others in until our rooms were available
elhenry Posted December 10, 2018 #17 Share Posted December 10, 2018 As others have said: 1. The paper set sail pass will NOT let you into the CL if no concierge is on duty. I tried that in August. Nope.😁 of course, if the concierge is on duty, your set sail shows your eligibility. But by that time, you’ll probably have the plastic...... allentownahoy Posted December 10, 2018 Author #19 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Thanks everyone. Sounds like there is a better chance trying the back door of DL.
