Restaurants on Anthem of the Seas

Can someone that has been on Anthem of the Seas recently tell me what Restaurants are actually on this ship...everywhere I look-its different! Was looking for Silk, American Icon Grill, English Pub....and their menus. .I am trying to figure out the meal situation. I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me.     Thanks

American Icon Grill and Silk are areas in the MDR.  It is possible that they are My Time Dining areas.

Yes, these are the MTD restaurants. Grand and Chic are the early & late dining. English Pub is renamed to something like Bock and Brew and it will have its own menu and is a pay venue. The other 4 restaurants are complimentary for dinner. American Icon is complimentary daily for breakfast and sea day lunch.

There are other for fee restaurants including Wonderland and Jamie Oliver's.  There are others but my mind seems to be blank today!   Free food also at Windjammer, Solarium cafe and Cafe 270.  Plenty to eat.

As the others had advised the MDR is split in to four dining area - you will be allocated one for your evening meals - CHIC, Silk, Grande and American Icon.

 

They are included in your cruise fare, as is the WindJammer Café (main buffet restaurant) , Sorrento's (Pizza) and Seaplex dog house (hot dogs), Café@TWO70 , Promenade Cafe (coffees & sandwiches, small cakes & pastries) and Solarium bistro.

 

There are other venues which are for a fee.

Wonderland (its fab -we loved it), 

Chops grill ,

Jamie's Italian,

Izumi (Sushi) ,

Chefs Table (a bit more expensive but very nice dining experience),  

Johnny Rockets (burgers and chips - yum milkshakes! * They also do a breakfast which is free) .

 

Costal Kitchen is only for those guests in Suites and its their private dining area.

Johnny Rockets on our November Anthem trip did not serve breakfast. Maybe this has changed? Also, note it is an ala carte fee vs cover charge like other RCCL ships.

Johnny Rockets only serves breakfast on Oasis class ships.

Coastal Kitchen is available for dinner if you are in a JS. All meals if you are in any other suite. Dinner reservations are strongly recommended. Cafe 270 is my preferred venue when the MDR is closed. There are photos of the menu there elsewhere on this RCC board.

As Anthem effectively has four MDRs and each has its own kitchen, does anybody know whether each kitchen specialises in certain dishes or courses for all four venues or does each do everything? If the latter, which kitchen (and therefore MDR) is the best?

All dining rooms serve the same menu, which changes daily.  Same menu as you get on all other RCI ships. 

I believe the 2 restaurants on each deck share one galley.

Another question I have in regards to the 4 restaurants that make up the MDR....Not all 4 are open at dinner is that correct and the ones that are open all work off the same menu(MDR menu)?  We were on Quantum right after she came to NJ...it was nothing like what Anthem is appearing to be. Our experience was not the greatest on Quantum-mostly due to RC cutting their staff in half. These restaurants that are part of the MDR on Anthem were actually individual restaurants with their own unique menus on Quantum.  Just want to know if all the restaurants in the MDR serve off of the same menu?  Thank-You

The dining that was introduced with Quantum has been abandoned, and the 4 restaurants are all open for dinner, each offering the same exact menu whcih changes nightly.

Yikes!  Interesting.  Never had that happen.  You would think they would notice a font that's so different though once they posted it.

Totally off topic but have you seen that the X Edge version of DD seems to be running very smoothly and is working well?

No, I've not heard that.

 

Hopefully they avoided the mistakes that Royal made, the biggest of which was underestimating the average turnaround time.  They chose the number of dining room tables based on a certain turnover rate, and found that in reality, the turnover rate was significantly slower, so capacity of the dining rooms was insufficient.

Was on Anthem twice. Jamie’s Italian was not worth the money. Wonderland was amazing. Did chops for lunch and dinner. Windjammer dinners ok.
