Just received this for a cruise on Mariner.

Dear Travel Partner,

We wanted to let you in on a little secret: there's something special in the works for your clients! The thing is, even the best surprises take time to plan. So, beginning tomorrow, August 7th, 2019, you won't have access to your clients' reservation while we work our behind-the-scenes magic to completely ramp up the WOW-factor on their vacation.

Once we're done, we'll let you in on the secret and share when you and your clients can view their reservation, book shore excursions, plus anything else that'll make their vacation extraordinary!

Please share this information with your clients. Thank you for your support and partnership. We can't wait to share the exciting news. Trust us, your clients are going to love it!

Sincerely,

Aurora Yera-Rodriguez

I am booked on the April 6 four night cruise and got the email yesterday.  I just checked my reservation and can't get into the cruise planner but my itinerary now shows

4 Nt Bahamas With 2 Stops At Perfect Day

  1. ORLANDO (PORT CANAVERAL), FL
  2. PERFECT DAY COCOCAY, BAHAMAS
  3. NASSAU, BAHAMAS
  4. PERFECT DAY COCOCAY, BAHAMAS

Thanks for posting.  I'm still betting overnight stays will be an option and coming soon with this itinerary

This explains why only 4 day itineraries received the notification and most likeley the reason that not all the 4 night itineraries received notification is probably based on if there were already 2 ships in port on a few of the Tuesdays.

If I had ever seen that itinerary on the website my first thought would have been that it was an IT screw up misprint.

Hopefully such a thing will never spread to 7 and 8 night itineraries.

So would that mean the 4-day Mariner out of Port Canaveral would have no Sea Day? Hmmm, that doesn’t really “float my boat”.

Guess not but on the upside everyone will be off the ship spending money so if you are a stay on board type (like us) you will have a pretty empty ship.  I think I like it!!!

Hmmm- so perhaps two stops at coco cay and one stop at Nassau but no sea day.   Looks ok to me, but for those who enjoy the casino, it will hardly be opened.   When we were in coco cay in May, the casino remained   closed till the evening.

I just checked my reservation, and it does say two stops a perfect day. I can’t get into the specific itinerary  but it does mention the two stops

thanks

Have you been to “new” Coco Cay yet?    If not, you might change your mind and spend a couple of hours there rather than staying on the ship.

We enjoyed Coco Cay as we enjoy going to the island beaches, and this is a totally free day for us.  No taxi, no entrance fee, food charges etc. etc.  maybe just a drink or two

I hope that our sailing paths will cross.

We like it, especially as the beaches are not crowded and they have plenty of umbrellas. As it appears we will now have two coco cay days on our mariner this January.  Perhaps we can learn if there will be other ships with us and if we are alone one day use that day as our Coco Cay day and maybe even stay on board the second time.

If this is the case I'm glad I got in on Mariner this year so I could have my sea day--that's my curl up with a book in the Solarium day!

You can still curl up with a book in the Solarium p!us you'll probably have more choices of available chairs to choose from

Ooh, this is all very interesting! I'll be a little sad about the loss of a sea day, but realistically- we booked this one based solely on price, length and departure port. My son is bringing his partner who has never cruised before and he had been talking about this ship, so it worked out for everyone.

Since the 3 day itinerary has the same stops, I am guessing the extra day at sea was just a time filler since the Bahamas are so close by anyways

Well, we got the e-mail and the mystery deepens...

Our Dec 7th 2020 sailing - 4 nts - on Mariner has simply vanished from the RCCL website altogether, as have ALL the Mariner cruises between Nov 30th and Dec. 24th 2020.

Drydock? Refit? At least 6 consecutive full-ship charters??

Since there are still all the 3 day cruises scheduled that rules out dry dock.

I doubt they are all chartered.  Seems more likely to be tied into these changes to do with the double stop at CocoCay and possible overnights.

I got the email about the 'wow' changes coming and the cruise is also not showing for booking on Royal's site.

Did you try signing in to cruise planner?  Mine shows as having 2 stops as poster mentioned above (but cannot go into the reservation).
