Sparkling Wine

It states that once you’ve cruised with Norwegian, you’ve reached the first tier which is Bronze, on the Latitude scale, and  your entitled to a bottle of Sparkling Wine on your next cruise. Anyone receive this ?

Everyone Bronze and up receives the sparkling wine each cruise.

Don't get too excited.  It's pretty awful.   It will work for a mimosa, but not something you want to drink by itself.

We took our first cruise with NCL on the Epic a few years ago.  Shortly after we booked a short booze cruise on the Sun.  We did not receive a bottle of sparkling wine on the Sun because according to the room steward, you have to be  on a cruise 7 nights or longer (not sure if it says that on the list of Bronze perks).  On our next 7 nighter, it was in our room.  

Every palate is different.  Whether you like it or not doesn't matter IMO.  It's a nice way to kick of the cruise!

We are silver and did not get a bottle of sparkling wine in our room on our last sailing (7 nights).  Is this something you have to ask for?

I have to think it is nothing special when they give this at bronze level but you have to be gold to get a bottle of water!

Lol...so true. 

We didn't have to ask.  It was in the room upon arrival.  Perhaps your lack of sparkling was an oversight.

My bottle of sparkling wine is always waiting in my cabin.  I’m a nondrinker so I usually find someone to give it away to.  No one seems to have anything good to say about it, but it’s free.

Works well in a Mimosa.  Often not delivered till the evening turn down; it depends on when the steward gets it and how busy (s)he has been late in the first period of work.

We've had a bottle waiting for us in our room on all 3 of our NCL cruises. First cruise we were in a mini suite, maybe that helped? Second and 3rd we were Bronze.

 

It's not too bad for free.

We always give it to the butler. Sometimes they give us some more water and on one memorable cruise he swapped it for TWO bottles of the real stuff! He said that his passengers in the DOS didn't drink. And it was delicious.

We've taken it to the MDR on the first night & exchanged it for a bottle of "real" wine...lol.  It's usually one of the "house" wine bottles but it's better than the sparkling wine, IMHO.

We take anything free. Our bottle from last week (it is the same bottle they give to the top suite holders).
