When do you plan to rebook?

I will rebook - ws supposed to leave today, 13 of us on Oasis of the Seas to celebrate my husband's retirement.  Actually looking at 6/21/20  Harmony of the Seas and as others have stated, there are not a lot of cabin choices left.  I would like to book now but am unsure about FCC opting to take 125% offer.  I hate to put out more $$ to cover deposits as I am picking up the tab for all of this.  Can anyone clarify exactly how this works?  Sounds like it may be 30 days before FCC is available?  I want to book now 0 not wait for FCC documentation.

RCCL stated FCC will come via email by April 13th

I called Royal today about this exact issue and they assured me multiple times on a recorded conversation, that if I did a new booking today, even though it is within the three month final payment (May 31 sailing) that I could apply the FCC when it's issued by April 13th toward the cruise and receive a refund to my mastercard for the FCC amount.  I would call yourself to clarify this the way I did, and definitely make sure it's recorded but we felt comfortable moving forward with it though it's definitely an individual decision.

I booked another last night. Most likely losing 2 next month of our 12 booked. Have nothing else booked till mid October 2020. B3B on Adventure home for a week and B2B on Jewel. Hoping everything will be back to normal by then. If things get a lot better sooner, we might book something over the summer.

the challenge we seem to be having is even with the 125% FCC the prices are double what we paid, next reasonable prices aren't till Nov 2021...

 

And with all the March and April folks trying to rebook it might make sense to just cancel and get our money back and then just do a new booking once are the craziness dies down

We had an early May cruise planned. We cancelled that and have rebooked for December. Hopefully, our September cruise will still go as planned.

Can someone help with the specifics? We were supposed to sail on Anthem on May 29th. That is right when the UK is predicting their peak of the virus. So even if the ship sailed, would any countries let it dock??? So if Royal doesn’t cancel the trip, we surely will. Does anyone think it’s likely the US to Caribbean sailings will be up and running by then? It’s the only time we can vacation this summer, so if not then i need to look much further into the year. If we want to cancel Anthem and rebook Caribbean...it sounds like we won’t have the future cruise credit until mid April? It looks like one person went ahead and paid for their rebooked cruise, having been told they would then get the FCC back on their card. That would make me nervous unless that’s what everyone is being told - too many people reporting conflicting information from RCCL before this whole mess! Until the last few days, I really thought things would be calmed down by the end of May, just like the flu season every year. While I hope that’s the case for the US, it is not sounding likely for the UK.

We are waiting for our FCC from Royal also. Was suppose to sail on March 26th. Have another one book at end of April but looks like that one will probably be canceled too.

Haven't checked to see what's available for rescheduling but probably won't rebook until August.

Numbers of new cases are decreasing in regions in China and Korea and movement restrictions are being slowly relaxed.  However the threat will still be present until the world has acquired some immunity one way or another.  

I don’t see how we can travel again any time soon.

Have Ovation booked for July 31, 2020. Have to wait and see what happens. Have Liberty booked for Oct 25, 2020. 

My March 20th, 2020 on Enchantment was cancelled. My Cuba cruise last year was cancelled.

 

Next few months are going to be very hard on RCL.

We're booked May 31st on Oasis out of Bayonne which will probably get canceled.  

 

We are also booked for September 20th on Oasis out of Bayonne.  If our May cruise gets canceled considering doing a back to back in September.

 

Whatever happens, can't wait to cruise safely again.

If our end of April cruise is canceled by Royal I’m hoping to rebook for summer.  I have vacation to use or lose by the end of summer so it’s cruise or we will need to plan a land vacation. I don’t want to spend my hard earned vacation sitting at home in isolation.

We were already booked on Allure in November so we pushed our rebook on the Edge out to January 2021.

We canceled our Carnival Western Caribbean for April 2020 and re-booked for June 20th, 2020.

 Hopefully that is not too soon.

IMHO I think you are very optimistic. The virus is only starting to appear in the USA.

It has taken China months to reduce the numbers and life is still in lockdown. Many people have yet to recover. It’s definitely not over for them. 

 

The Caribbean has barely started to feel the effects of Coronavirus. Will you want to visit an island where the virus is rampant?
 

Our government is talking of schools being shut until at least September, maybe longer.
 

We over 70s are not allowed to mix with people for 3 months, minimum.

 

Maybe there will be a miracle and the USA and the rest of the world will find something to stop this virus in its tracks and return life to normal in a matter of a few weeks.

 

But is this realistic?

 

We love cruising. Are addicted.  But I think it’s going to be a long hard road before we glibly book any sort of vacation, let alone a cruise.

 

We have a BTB booked for end of May/beginning of June but sadly we can’t see it happening.

Highly unlikely.  The US is behind the U.K. in timeframe. It really ISN'T like the flu. 

 

Schools and universities closing until probably September.

 

Over 70s to stay in and not socialise for 3 months at least.

 

Businesses closing down all over the place, pubs and restaurants not yet shut but it will come.

 

The next step is complete isolation and a shut down.

 

We are not optimistic this virus can be brought under control and life return to normal in weeks, or even months. We’ve a long way to go unfortunately.

 

As for Europe, there is unlikely to be a quick fix.

 

BUt one good thing has emerged, and that is how people are beginning to care for each other. Let’s hope that increases at the same pace as Coronavirus is spreading.

Unfortunately, I agree.  Just because we flatten the curve, doesn't mean the virus is gone.  All it will take is for people to start going out again, restaurants to reopen, mass gatherings, and it will start all over.  Beside there is no guarantee that warm weather is going to make this go away.  As long as we don't have a vaccine or something that effectively treats the symptoms, this is going to stay around - it will become endemic, just like the flu and what happens then?  Do we continue to quarantine ships with Corona or do we treat it more like the flu?  So much is unknown at this time.

I will be 70 in July and my husband is much older.  As long as Royal requires the release from our doctor, our cruising days may be over.
