My DH and I used to care for our front and rear yards for many years and enjoyed the work. About six years ago though,we thought it was time for us to hire gardening help.

We were a bit older than you and Pauline when we moved into the house though!

I am adding two views of our front yard with flowers in bloom.

Waiting to see what they will look like this  year. The Spring has been a bit chilly, so the blooms may be a bit delayed.

Life is too short...my youngest sister doesn't talk to me either.  Her loss.

So far, we're OK.

 

I'm just very frustrated and very angry at the endless circle of violence in our region, where absolutely no one on both sides values life and is looking for a "modus vivendi"....

 

Tomorrow we had a reservation to celebrate our DS2 40th anniversary. It will have to wait.

 

I really hope that this "circle" will end soon, and I'll be back continuing my pics from our last trip.

I cannot imagine what you are living through. 
We have plenty of violence here, but at least there’s no fighting between governments here. I hope it stays that way. 
we have enough with mass killings. 
we have to continue to pray for a peaceful world.

Thank you Maryann.

She has been like a daughter all of her life and we are in daily contact.

She has been to WDW Orlando with us as well as 6 times to our favourite hotel in Spain etc.

It is definitely your sister's loss Maryann that she doesn't speak to you.

Love the privacy this would give you.  We live in an area of single level homes with large blocks of land.  Over the past 2 years, the three homes at the rear of us have been bought, demolished and large 2 level homes with granny flats at the rear against the fence line have been built so we have completely lost our privacy.

Everytime I hear something on the news about Israel I think of you.

Hope that both sides comes to their senses and start talking.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Paulines childhood home where her brother still lives had fields behind it but there is several hundred houses there now.
