Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

We are both doing fine, food is a little disappointing. Cold things aren't cold and hot things aren't hot.

I have no idea how any cruisers can do a World Cruise on this class of ship for 270 days. The variety  of food on this ship just isn't enough.

We did have a nice lunch in Izumi yesterday.

Since now we aren't arriving in Nuuk until 10am,our Fiord Safari Boat Tour is now starting at 2;30 pm instead of 12:30 pm

All onboard is at 10pm I believe.

I'm suspecting they will  alter the menu a little more on the world cruise.

So we're back up at the lake ( Lake Siskyou) .  It's been a fair piece since we've gotten here. According to my Photo roll it's was August 2021 the last time we were here.   I've got two weeks off and I'm going to spend part of it up here before getting back home and letting my wife spend so time with DD.

I saw a really interesting bird down on the shore...

He seemed fearless of me.  Eventually he came walking right up near me.

We're in the 5th wheel and life is good.  It'd be better if I was on a cruise ship but this is second best.

Yes.  My son-in-law planned everything after doing a lot of research.  My daughter planned the wedding.  He planned the honeymoon.  Worked out well for both of them.

They seem a perfect match!  ❤️

Let's try that again.  My daughter and SIL have moved from Switzerland to Lake Como.  Lots of pictures incoming.

On the Bella thread, someone had posted pictures of sample World Cruise menus a few weeks ago.  Looked like there were several new additions that are not part of the normal cruise menu.  I wonder if the "new" additions will be rotated in & out depending on the region of the world they are sailing.

Plus, with 150 mostly unique port of calls, there may be plenty of in-port dining.  Granted, by missing meals on the ship you are not getting the full value of the the cruise but that might not be a concern to some.

But yeah, I agree with you. Even with the rotating menu, I'd get bored after while. Sometimes I like to dine with a can of Campbells Chunky Soup and Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich while binging Netflix from my recliner, with microwave popcorn (Xtra Butter!) for dessert.  Classy, I know!

I'd prefer Freedom class or larger myself, just for the variety of stuff on the ship.  But I guess getting into most of those ports require a smaller ship. Plus, maybe the capacity of a larger ship is not needed. Does anyone know if the cruise is sold out?

That was the deal my wife & I had when we got married. Although your son-in-law definitely planned a much better honeymoon. The pictures you've been posting are stunning, just gorgeous.

Looks wonderful. The 5th wheel really looks impressive. That’s the way I would want to go camping, glamping.

That is the same type of chair that Allure has on its balconies. I really dislike them. The back is not adjustable and it is not high enough to rest your head. I found that it really limited my use of the balcony.

I don't know if it is sold out but I think a lot of people are not doing the entire cruise since RCI started selling segments.

We are on Serenade and looks like whoever ordered new fridges for the cabins for the world cruise really goofed.

They were installed on our deck (7)  on day 1.

Yes, they are actually refrigerators but they are super tiny.  Cannot put a small plate inside and hold maybe 3 or 4 water bottles at most.   Definitely cannot fit much of anything in them.   I bet the world cruisers will be very unhappy with them.

On Serenade now and they have been trying out some new menus.   Not sure if they are just for the world cruise or will be fleetwide.  I will ask.

Tonight was meditterean night.   The lamb dish I had was delicious.

Tomorrow night is an Asian menu so we booked Giovannis.

Same chairs on Serenade balcony.  I do enjoy having the large table for when we order room service breakfast.

We’re doing an ocean view on this cruise next year and I think I’m going to be okay with it.  No fresh air but I don’t like cold and that looks cold.

So glad you got to see the northern lights.  I’ve heard you can’t capture it really in pictures but I’m sure you’ll never really forget it.
