Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Catching up on some posting. I was at my office the other day and my work computer was nasty.  Look at the new screen saver photo it used. Not even sure where it is, but the computer would not teleport me there.

What kind of cart do you have? Ours is an EZGO RXV

Yes mam. We rode to Fishlips today. Beautiful day to ride. We had 220 miles door to door. We rode through the Refuge on the way down. Food was just ok.

After seeing the food at your cookout, I would not want to be the restaurant trying to serve you a meal.

StarLink launch at 8:25. Weather looking good.

This will likely be my last one for 7 months.

Rain forecast here 60%. Hope it goes.

Saw it for about 2 seconds then it went behind a cloud.  I can hear it though

That would be the only way to get me to a community garage sale.  In fact, it would need to be something stronger than wine.

Friday I went to the cottages to meet with contractor who is doing the shoreline protection work. Seeing the water makes me realize how much I miss it.

This...

...has become this.  We have to wait a few more weeks for the salmon spawn to finish and the work can finish here at mom’s. The waves had washed through the original rock wall and started to wash away the lawn. Earth will be brought in and seeded when all is done.

Since Mom was already at her cottage she went to the other two with us to review what will be done there. Plans are in the works and soon permits will be applied for the shore wall. With Georgian Bay at 100 year highs you can see the damage the water is doing. 2 years ago the lake was out 100’. Amazing the power of water.

The view from my deck.

There will still be beach after the construction.  Turn up the heat and add a cabana is what I am thinking. CoCo Collingwood.🙂

Afterwards I went to the elevators and old ship yard.  Years ago they used to build Great Lakes freighters and ship harvested crops from the elevators. They have been unused for decades now and the shipyard buildings torn down and become condos.

The boat launch was quiet.

The ski hills are in the distance.

It was clear enough you could see across the bay approximately 50 miles to the furthest island.

Looking the other way you can see the old lighthouse.

I often though they could do some amazing things with the old elevators but time is not treating the old concrete structure well. Currently it houses lots of seagulls and pigeons and that’s it. Freighters still occasionally tie up here for the winter, but there are still months in the shipping season left.

They also honour ships build here in the past with markers in the sidewalks.

A quick Google search found the ship.

Saturday was a very expensive day for us.

Found the wedding dress of our DD's dreams  (uh $$$$$$)  and booked a reception venue for next summer.

Let's just say my DH had 3 drinks with dinner, when he finally found out how generous he was.

Credit card got a lot of action, I keep telling him look at the points we are getting............cruise money.

Today shoes, and cleaning up after the bridal party leaves.

It was great having all the girls hear especially when you have an only child and she is a princess.

Stay safe.
