Like my cruise cards before it, my medallion lived in my pocket. I figure it wasn't aesthetic for TV

Don't you like to flash your well earned BLACK, Geoff?  Then the crew will say..'Welcome Back', lol.

Last year we did a similar route, did you do the Paperbark walk in Agnes Water? I found it such a lovely surprise. This year we decided to do western QLD. Couldn't get to Birdsville thanks to flooding but did get as far west as Boulia via the Winton Boulia road which I thought lived up to it reputation as beautiful drive though according to the Middleton hotel owner the landscape was greener than he had experienced in years living there. La Nina takes and then gives😂

I didn't do the walk but hubby did. the Museum was great and the walk to the beach look out from there.

We have come through Winton etc when coming back from Darwin to home, a great drive.

Last year we did 3 weeks from Mid North Coast, Iluka through to Lightening Ridge, hot springs were great! then down to Mudgee and home through the Hunter Valley. We mix it up with free camps, donation showgrounds and footy fields, back of pubs, National Parks and very rarely caravan parks!

They are on Regal Princess out of Barcelona. Don't think I will watch any more episodes, lol. I don't want to get too excited, lol.   BTW I did not see their Princess medallions around their necks, maybe they hid them, lol.

I have a watch band type that houses the medallion

I saw some of the show today and noticed most of the girls had a gold bangle/ watch type medallion holder., the cupid girl had hers in a necklace pendant.

Looked like they had  deluxe balcony or mini suites. Twin bed beds, perhaps to be later converted to king size, if you know what I mean, lol.

Wish me good luck, had to go to hospital yesterday for s9me tests. Just sitting 8n the car long enough to get there was hell (and home again) got one test done they had to conceal the other as there was an emergency situation (fair enough) but now I have to try and get through it all again today, so I guess I just drug myself to the eyeballs and try to get through it.

How are you feeling, Lyle?

I'm feeling okay. It is like a really crappy cold. Earlier on I had some heavy coughing fits that were quite painful. I haven't had those for a while. It feels like a more mild cold now.

It is our "Thanksgiving" weekend so Monday is a day off with pay. With any luck and a good test result I'll be back at work Tuesday. Apparently there is an "offer" on our house, we are scheduled to look at it tomorrow at 10 AM. It could be interesting...or not.

Well, that’s positive news all round.  Hope your recovery continues apace, and hope the offer is what you’re both seeking.  Best of luck.

Thanks everyone, things didn’t go as well as they could, it has been a rough few weeks.

Anniversary mid Aug had a great day, even went to see mum (it was their 69th anniversary same day and dad’s inNursing home so she was doing it tough)

Next day had mini stroke outside, tried to get up sooner than I should, fell, on concrete) neighbours four blocks away heard the screaming (probably registered as m8nor earthquake too with my fat acre hitting the ground). Off to hospital, scan some Panadol, “OK you can go home”. We looked at the scan but radiologist will look at it and report we will ring if there is anything.

Two plus weeks later “High this is Maitland Hospital just checking who operated on your burst fracture in your back, we have no record … what you didn’t know about it… we will contact a spine specialist and get back to you” “Spine specialist says after all this time nothing can be done.”

Ambos a few times for pain relief, made me go to hospital a few times, hospital admits there is nothing they can do, though one lovely doctor ‘wow you are in interesting case, mind if I get the junior doctors to read it during the week”.

So off to ER again Tuesday after another fall and unbearable pain, won’t give me even the amount of pain killer I have at home. Stroke specialist comes on from holidays to check, I want you to have an EEG to see if there is more than just the artery problems. I tell the ER that, they do nothing about it. Go hame about midnight (no bed alternate is stay in ER all night, guarantee a fresh mini stroke anyway.

Thursday booked for EEG and angiogram of brain, so proof I have one anyway.

Have the EEG (yet to get official report but unofficially all clear. Angioram put off to Friday due to emergency, that’s fine, things come up.

But Tell angiogram people that there is no way I can lay flat on my back for four hours (had to least time I had one) that’s OK but how about on the angiogram table,  me if it is only about half hour like last one I will get through, yeah on it over two hours, thinking “Wow didn’t think I’d be this sore in half an hour.” Again less pain relief than I have at home.

And they wonder why I am ready to die.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear you are in so much unresolved pain.  You'd have to have a sense of humour when hospital won't give you as much pain relief as you have at home.

Must be a joy to go home to your little dog who must miss you when you are away.

Maxy is so good while the ambos work on me as long as he can see what they are doing but goes off at Mrs G when they take me away.

I can always do Maxy spam sorry middle one is upside down, but Maxy do need a cushion for hims little head, top one is him with his mate Hisser (real name Oli, sharing space on my knee, the dirty look is because she is further up than him, he doesn’t mind sharing, just wants his spot closest to me.

Gut I am so sorry for your pain, we have our 34 year old year old son back home with us, has been for the last 2 years with a permanent progressive back disorder. He has had to cut work down from 10 hr days to 6hrs and that will prob get less over time. Uncomfortable to stand, walk lie down.

My sister had the same disorder and after 20 odd years just had major surgery.

Hope you can relieve the pain.
