It's all good. I was able to get a comped veranda on Celebrity Apex instead.

That sounds even better. 😁 We did also get two comp cabins on HAL’s Eurodam for next April. That will work too....

Just saw this offer under my online Club Royal offers.....guess they're trying to book 2020 again?

020 OCT - DEC     FLAT RATE OFFER       VARIABLE STATEROOM FOR A FLAT RATE     exp6/26/2020         20FRC201

Do you know what the flat rate is?  I have the same thing, but I don’t want to waste hours on the phone if it’s not a comped Cruise.

I didn’t ask cause I was able to move my cancelled Aug cruise, but I think I’ll call tomorrow to see what it is....unless you call first. 😁

1992 cruiser and TYMAN I also had the variable flat rate offer and used it today. It’s good on most Oasis class ships Oct - Dec . I booked Harmony in October. Interior $199, Oceanview $249, Balcony $299 plus port n taxes. Total for promenade was $657.19

Thanks for the update! I already have two cruises before Dec, hope they sail, so won’t add another, but at least we know now. 😁

I tried to move my cancelled casino comp August Symphony cruise yesterday morning and was told I could not move it to ANY Oasis class ship. Grrrrrr.

Call back.

there is limited availability on Oasis class ships. We had to check sailing by sailing until we found one they would allow.

Thanks for the advice.  I called Club Royale again today and after trying eight different dates on various Oasis class ships, I got it moved to Oasis in February, 2021.  Took 91 minutes but I'm booked.  Even got an 18 cent refund.  Woo hoo!!

Glad it worked out for you. It’s just a shame they don’t have a list of valid sailings as it took me 2 hours the other day trying to find a date they would allow us to move one of our sailings to!

in first lot of cancellations they allowed up to February, with this round being until February as well I think they are running out of options to move to fast. Just hope if there are any more extensions to sailing cancellations they extend that February date.

I wonder if with so many people pushy back sailings they are using casino comps lift and shifts to raise capacity in short term.

Had a comped offer that I used for Oasis this September that was just canceled. The only option if I wanted to salvage the offer was to re-book for Dec 2020 - Feb 2021. I was hoping to re-book for Sept 2021 but I was told that would not be an option.

I tried to book my canceled  sept harmony to during the applicable October - February time.   I had seven different sailing dates that would work with my schedule. All seven were not available!   I guess I’ll lose the comped cruise.

Obviously I feel your pain on this one! They told me I have until August to decide so I guess I’ll leave it in limbo and hope they expand the dates of the offer out a little.

I spoke with 'Brian' this morning when paying fees on a December Mariner. He told me the ability to L&S a true comp, cancelled in the recent shutdown, expired on July 10

You can L&S at any time.

As different people are getting different answers from club royale about shifting comped cruises I suggest you call club royale.  If you dont like the answer you get hang up and trying calling again.  If you get the same answer then that is the policy for your particular cruise.

I wasn't trying  to L&S, I was trying to rebook a recently cancelled  comp cruise to anther date  with the allotted time frame through February 28.  Luckily I did eventually get a date in late November, probably  because it will be cancelled also!

I have a different question related to a comped casino cruise.  We have a comped casino cruise on Anthem 12-7-20, which I don't expect to occur.  We paid to upgrade to a family junior suite.  I think I am going to cancel the cruise, and I'd like a refund.  I'd rather have the money back than try to rebook.

When booking a comped casino cruise, you pay in full at time of booking.  If I cancel now (well before final payment date), would I get everything back?  There was no true deposit paid, but the language on my receipt says, "Your deposit has been posted to your reservation.  The minimum deposit for this reservation is non-refundable.  Final payment has been posted to your reservation. A change fee of $100 USD per guest will apply for ship or sail date changes."

I know I can get a full refund if/when Royal cancels this cruise, but I think I'd like to get the refund ball rolling now before the next wave of cancellations.

No.  If you cancel prior to Royal suspending the cruise, you will get a 100% FCC for the $$ you paid.  The only way to get a cash refund is to wait until Royal cancels the cruise and then select the cash refund option.

Hmm.  Could I "un" upgrade, like call them and say I'd like to switch cabins back down to my free interior cabin and then get the difference in a refund?  The cruise is still four and a half months away.

My receipt lists the normal cancellation schedule, such as if I cancel 89 to 75 days prior to sailing, I would forfeit 25 percent per guest.  Are you saying that's not true though, that I can't get any refund at all?

Since you are not in the final payment  window, I believe you can cancel and get all your money back.  You should get the money for upgrades as well as taxes and fees. It might show up as two or more refunds to your card.

Well before Covid,  we had to cancel a comped ( and paid upgraded) cruise and had NO problern getting all our money refunded.

good luck

Just got off the phone with Gigi in Club Royale.  I wanted to L & S our January 2021 8 night Grandeur out of Baltimore to same cruise on Enchantment in January 2022.  (It was our yearly comped cruise with an upgrade to a JS)  After checking, Gigi told me that this cruise was not eligible for L & S but they could cancel and reprice.  Having the new price open on my computer and it being $700 more than we paid, I said no thanks.  She continued trying to convince me to let her look at the new price ("Sometimes we have cheaper prices than what you see onboard...") I finally told her to go ahead and see what the 2022 price would be.  Turns out it was $11 cheaper than what we originally paid!   Gigi rebooked us with the same reservation number and refunded to our credit card the difference in price plus what we had paid for Internet.

Bottom line - although she wouldn't call it a Lift and Shift, essentially that's what happened.  I was happy with the outcome whatever they call it:)

How long did it take for them to email you your new invoice?  When I did my lift and shift I was told I would receive my new invoice with my price protected new booking within 24 hours.  It has been 48 hrs and I have not received anything.  Also my old cruise still shows active when I log in on Royal Caribbean's website.
