Australia all in

Received this "Australia all in" casino offer... free inside, dou (in casino). I have never seen this one before. Flights from canada are crazy expensive so free inside is not really an incentive. Ports are in south pacific, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji etc. so it is a bucket list thing. Wondering if platinum status transfers to AU carnival? Disembarks from Sydney or Brisbane. Looking at booking in 2022 so covid may not be an issue, i hope. Has anyone ever booked this offer and how was your experience. Sydney appears to be more enticing than Brisbane but really have no idea. Thanks

Sydney is a wonderful city, and I would suggest a 4 or 5 day pre-cruise stay there over Brisbane.  So much to do in Sydney, opera house, harbor tour, zoo, nightlife, outdoor parks, day trip to Blue Mountains, bridgewalk, Bondi Beach, etc.

I'll guess an Aussie can cover your other questions.

I have a similar offer. Looking at the 10-day in Feb’22.  My offer includes a $600 OBC, which covers the $208 pp cruise rate, taxes and port fees.  DOU everywhere onboard and $1500 in fun play.  I prefer the Elite cruise, but think we may book this tomorrow. We would definitely depart from Sydney with pre-cruise stay, as evandbob mentioned above.

In answer to your question regarding you status transferring over to AU, see  VIFP Terms and conditions on CCL website. Excerpt pertaining to VIFP points below.

OP - hope you take the offer, safe travels, have a great time, and win big!

In order to earn VIFP Points for Cruises that begin and end in Australia (each an “Australian Cruise”), Members must log into their Account and request that VIFP Points be awarded for Days earned on such Australian Cruise(s). Members must review their cruise history and submit a request by clicking on “Missing a Cruise?” and provide the requested information. CCL will not automatically award VIFP Points for any Australian Cruise.

I have a similar offer, it is the EA4 and was seriously considering it but I don't think i can take that long of a flight. I am a great cruiser but a bad flyer- lol. I would suggest pricing out a suite. It was only a little over $30 per person, per night more and I think it is a great deal. Not sure if you realized though, the OBC and fun play is in Australian dollars not US. Enjoy your cruise!!

Did a Australia / New Zealand  casino offer back in Feb March just before all the covid hit.  You have to work with someone from Australia casino office.  Make sure you let them know your status.  Your status might  not show up when you do check-in as you have to go to their website to check-in.  (was told they are working on that)  After reading the Australia boards I followed their suggestion and took a old card with me to show  the terminal staff.  once on board the pursers desk will make sure your status is correct.  They had ours correct from the start.  Australia casinos are a little deferent.  No smoking for one, no special drawings for casinos members, you can open an account with the casinos and you can exchange your US$ for AUS$.  They will not go the other way

Glad I waited and didn’t book this one.  Now have two more and one of them is Elite, so although the fun play is higher with the premier, the AU Elite has more included.

Hopefully our Freedom elite out of Galveston during Thanksgiving is still in play, but if not the AU would be a great backup.  The CPC is pretty good about transferring any OBCs and FCCs if it is cancelled over to the next.

O’well, looking forward to getting back onboard any Carnival ship at this point. I’m just going to go with the flow and comply with whatever the new normal turns out to be.

Nice offers, even though I haven't received them I will certainly check them out. One of the things that I was willing for a long time was to manage a cruise and cover like all the possible places of interest. At least in 1-2 days. Wish everyone an optimistic next week and hope everyone will start making plans very soon

I live in Oz, we don't get these deals as good as this...

Flights for us to US are around 800Us return,

Accomidation in Sydney can be expensive. around 150 to 200 usd a day. The best things to do where mentioned above, Zoo, Harbour, Blue Mountains, Climb the harbour bridge etc,,,,

It's winter here now a cold 17" C or 63" F.

Yes, no smoking in Casino only a couple of places on ship, we are very health consciences here...

Your Plantnium status will carry over; theres usually only about 40-50 at the Vifp parties... Just bring a old S&S card as mentioned...

Sydney is way better to sail from then Brisbane, but it takes 1 or 2 days longer to get to the pacific islands as there further away... (sydney is the worlds best harbour)..

Oh there is NO TIPPING. all gratius taken care of in Australia. We pay the Carnival staff & local staff a much higher pay rate. Most cruisers give there favourite, bartender, waiter & room steward a tip at the end of a cruise..

Oh last of All we are Very Very Friendly....

Glad to have you DownUnder...

which is probably why i couldnt pre pay gratuities lol.  It would be nice though to be able to see excursions ahead of time to think about even if you have to wait till on board to purchase.   Am guessing the 10 days count towards my VIFP level?

just an update from OP here, my wife received a different premier cruise offer, EP1, which includes $250 obc. Our PVP allowed us  to switch our 7 day south pacific out of Brisbane to a 12 day New Zealand out of Sydney for same price (well free interior), so that checks one more thing off bucket list. Initially when we tried to switch Carnival said we would have to forfeit our deposit on Brisbane cruise (PVP was on holiday) When she came back from holiday she had supervisor change cruise with no charge, love my PVP!!! So now we have 11 day south pacific, then 3 days in Sydney and a 12 day New Zealand. Hurry up 2022

I got an offer, not nearly as good as many.  I always have Casino offers but they're pretty feeble despite spending most of my free time on board in the casino.  I'm not a high roller but I spend a few hours every day playing both slots and Roulette.  I get better casino offers from HAL (which I've only sailed 3x but have received free or greatly-reduced casino offers from them multiple times; problem is I can rarely book in their time frames offered).

I booked Spirit 2/6/22 South Pacific RT from Brisbane.  It is "only" a slightly-discounted fare w/750 AUD casino play and DOU in casino.

Then I convinced my cruise pals to also book Splendor (I believe it's a Premier sailing) on 2/20 to New Zealand.  Figured since I was paying to go all that way and would want to spend time after Spirit and visit NZ, that it would probably cost less to see it via cruise.  Plus, we'll have a few days in between to see OZ.  That offer was, again, not great - discounted cabin, 1000 AUD casino play, & DOU in casino.  Have at least one FCC from a cancelled cruise that I'll probably apply.  I might have two.  I'm having trouble keeping up with them!

I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Oz/NZ (I'm an All Blacks fan!) so really looking forward to this.

grimpil - sounds like you may be on the same 2 sailings as my friends and I.  Haven't even checked to see if there are Roll Calls yet.

Don't sure I'm following the discussion about status.  I'm already Diamond, so don't suppose it will matter.  I expect, at some point, Carnival will have to implement another change to loyalty levels (and add a few) as there are now So Many Platinum (and even Diamond).  Plenty of time to worry about that later.

Wish we booked last week as the deals were even better. But we just booked the SP out of Sidney on an 11 day May 9, 2022. Got a suite for $2400 for 2 people with $600 OBC and DOU! Not too bad. Have 2 other couples booked. Bucket list trip here we come! There are many rooms left in all categories btw. Now I hope when we can get flights they are less than $5000 for two in premium economy. Any issues with credit cards being used for on board with the exchange rate? If we get our other cruises in it just may be our 25 milestone cruise.

Yes, we have the same cruises booked. As i understand it, previously Carnival Australia didn't transfer status automatically. My PVP now says it should be seamless as they have merged databases. I dont find the australia cruise critic boards helpful for researching excursions as we prefer to do independent tours,( not like the caribbean boards anyway). Apparently they dont make ship excursions available until you are on board.  As we have already booked, not sure we can use FCC or OBC from upcoming cancelled cruises (we have oct magic, expect will be cancelled and Jan transatlantic ... give it 40%)

Our TA informed us that you cannot use Carnival Gift Cards for the OZ sailings, either as payment or onboard.  I have a bunch but can use them on the Legend Med/TA for 2021 (replacements for the 2020 sailings that were cancelled).

Haven't asked her whether I can apply FCC to these or not.  I know she's recommending that people NOT apply any existing FCCs to new cruises right away.  That way, if the new one is cancelled, you get the FCC/OBC for that and you still have the original.  Not sure I have 1 or 2 from my cancelled Breeze (since I had applied one from the cancelled Legend Med).  I may just have one.  Should probably apply that to Legend Med since the Spirit final payment is due while we'll be on the Legend TA and Splendor about a week after we get home. 😵
