So who would be in the way of the hurricane IF they had an upcoming cruise?

P.S.  Celebrity is a great cruise.

Celebrity is an excellent cruise line. It was also the BEST value, before Covid caused huge price increases

But I was referring to alcoholic drinks

At $50 to $55 a day I can make my money back through specialty coffee, water, wine and cocktails especially if one of the ports is Coco Cay or Labadee. The a la cart prices are so expensive that it pays off. I think fresh OJ is $8.75 a glass.

If both of you can together consume 140 glasses on a 10 night cruise, then its worth it!

I would be. Though not many leaving on a Tuesday except short cruises. But we knew by last weekend.

I just saw on another social site, someone saying all Galveston parking lots are open free, and which had highest elevation. I lost my car 11 years ago to that hurricane. I sure wouldnt park there again. Never saw my car again.  Went on a cruise on conquest and ccl refused to let people canc. Sure wish I had anyway and forgone the cruisefare.

Galveston under evacuation orders right now.

We've always had the the drink package, gratuities, and sometimes OBC perks while sailing with Celebrity.  We've never bought the drink package on RCG, but if the price is right, we just might buy it for our July cruise on Oasis next year.    We do have triple perks for our October 2021 cruise on the Connie.

Maybe some buy the package for choice and convenience including bottled water and specialty coffee. Having the package is part of our cruise. Some don’t feel the need to justify as a cost issue.

And should have ceased if the business asked them to return. Regardless of the benefits.

Most definitely!

That whole program was is so messed up.  I have a client that earns close to $50k a month and he decided to take advantage and do mortgage forbearance on his primary and vacation home.  That shouldn't be allowed either.  If still working and earning no reason to manipulate the system but people do.

I have a good friend and her 16 yr son worked part time at a fast food chain. Earned on average $150 week.  He had been getting $75 week unemployment plus the extra $600 week.  He started to go on a shopping frenzy on phones computers games etc etc.  Mom and Dad stopped that and now have money going into a savings acct but still dont think he should have gotten all of that when there are people out that really needed it more than him.

Sorry I know I got off topic.

I did notice today pricing on excursions wifi dbp etc for my 4 future cruises have gone thru the roof.

One excursion that had been selling for $46 is now $170.   That's crazy

Where do you get this math from?   If a passenger buys deluxe beverage package at cost of $50 pp per day.  They get speciality coffee  bottled water fresh squeeze juices and alcohol.  If you paid out of pocket for these items that would cost well over $100 pp

We drink at least 3 glasses of wine. 2 during dinner and one before dinner. Cruise lines are not known for a generous pour. That's $30 right there.

Exactly. I enjoy my lattes in the morning then add bottled waters and a daiquiri or mojito at the pool then some cocktails in the casino or during a show.  Dbp is worth it!!   Port days we usually put 2 bottled waters pp in our back packs.

At the very least I would purchase the refreshment package.

Yes, that's absolutely true.  In the DL and CL, however, the pours are about double what you pay for in the bars.

I truly don't get the convenience argument. 🤔Every opportunity to spend money on the ship is convenient😉
