I'm Thankful...

That I and my family all still have good health.  I'm thankful that cancelled cruises all have been easily (well relatively so) refunded or applied to another cruise.  Not gotten exactly as I may have liked, but with the uncertainty of which port/country will be allowing ships, I get it and recognize there may be future changes yet again.  AI, Captains Club, elite, elite+, zenith, all good (or not for some) but what will be even better is getting on a ship healthy and happy to be back on the ocean.  Once that happens, we can and will all make our opinions known.  Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Can a Canadian be thankful???

I am thankful that we are healthy and so are our loved ones.

I am thankful for our wonderful family and friends.

I am thankful that although we are cooped up, we live in a nice environment and have all the comforts of home.

And.......I am thankful that for the first time in 2 months, my cleaning lady is coming tomorrow (even though dh and I will have to hunker down in the den)

Do any of you still have the Edit option?

I don't have an edit or a heart.

Thank you, we are a month behind our Canadian neighbors but gobble gobble gobble.  I don't have the edit icon but do have the heart

I’m thankful that even all of us are apart from loved ones, that there is still hope going forward, and for all the Cruises we did not get to take, that we will all be able to travel soon. I want to thank all of the front line responders, health care professionals, and everyone who has done a kindness for someone else during this very hard year.. I’ve had to say goodbye to several friends and colleagues this year to COVID.. I wish everyone much happiness this holiday season, and blessings to all.

A lot we all have to be grateful for.

I do not troll on social media often, but found this passage there:

"This 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o’clock, with her hair fashionably coiffed and makeup perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a nursing home yesterday. Her husband of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.

After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her window. “I love it,” she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
“Mrs. Jones, you haven’t seen the room …. just wait.”

“That doesn’t have anything to do with it,” she replied. “Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn’t depend on how the furniture is arranged, it’s how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. It’s a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice;

I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I’ll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I’ve stored away, just for this time in my life.”
She went on to explain, “Old age is like a bank account, you withdraw from what you’ve put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing.”
And with a smile, she said: “Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less, & enjoy every moment."

At the top right of the pane there is 3 dots click on that the edit is there. Well talk about late to the party. Disregard my tardy instruction as so many others beat me to it😏. Should have read more posts.

Happy Thanksgiving to our neighbours to the south. Be well and safe.

It's gone again!

Do you know that the heart only shows up in other peoples posts, not our own.  Though I do seem to recall, not all that long ago, it showed up in my own, but has not for a while.
