cruise to live Posted June 28, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2021 Thinking of booking Sept.18 Horizon. Do you think people are ready to return to cruising, or will I be on a ghost ship.
Cruise Related Posted June 28, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2021 Well, there’s about 6 of us in the roll call, granted it’s not very active. I think a lot of people are taking the wait and see approach. We will know a heck of a lot more come this weekend when Carnival makes it’s first sailing out of the U.S. So, if you have any hesitation, I guess I’d just wait and see what happens. I do know it will be a reduced capacity cruise, no clue at what percentage though.
LadyMac72 Posted June 28, 2021 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2021 I have a September 14 cruise to Alaska and there are over 300 in the voyage's page on the book of faces.
firefly333 Posted June 28, 2021 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2021 Lol I've read one thread where someone was sure the capacity was really closer to 80% than 50 or 60%. .. and you think people arent ready to book again. At the right price someone is always willing to book...
groundloop Posted June 28, 2021 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2021 HAH...... I think it'd be great to be on a sparsely populated cruise. But I don't believe that's going to be the case for September. I'm on the Magic out of Port Canaveral September 17th and it seems to be filling.

It definitely won't be a ghost ship, a lot of people are very ready.
Jamesatgsu Posted June 28, 2021 #8 Share Posted June 28, 2021 Carnival CEO just said they don't have supply to meet demand. I'm on Norwegian Jade on July 25th, and it has been sold out for several weeks. So are 2 of the August sailings.
Jasonsterling Posted June 28, 2021 #9 Share Posted June 28, 2021 I'm booked on August the 21st- I've been ready for a year, lol. I think there's a lot of pent up demand and that the ship will be pretty full.
Aplmac Posted June 29, 2021 #10 Share Posted June 29, 2021 September is three long months away! We're at the end of June. Things will be different again by September probably for the better, by quite a bit I should think! Between now and September dozens of cruises will have either succeeded or failed and we'll be in a far far better position to judge how things are going!
