So, not that this is a bad problem to have, but aside from a little bumpy ride coming into FLL, we are on the ground.  But, I can’t board until 2.  So, hang out at the Delta Sky Club.  Called Celebrity Customer Service.  They said “sure…..go to the earliest check in at 11:30 a.m.”

 

Now, do I think they have some sort of direct line to the check in terminal?  No.  Do I think they’ll say anything to appease?  Sure.

 

Still, it’s sunny here in Ft Lauderdale and nothing like I expected (8 inches of rain and 30 MPH winds).  It’s relatively calm.

 

Anyway, still too early to check in.  Hang out at the Delta Sky Club.  Get a Bloody Mary and get this thing started.

Are you saying boarding is delayed?  Or was your boarding time always 2 pm?  If you’re in a suite I thought you could board anytime.  We’re about to leave for the port so I definitely want to know!

Suites are allowed to board at any time.   I might wait a bit after 11:30 to let the initial crush fade.  Since you have done this before you know to go to the door all the way on the left.

Boarding time was always 2.  But, walked right on board just now.  15 minutes from getting a taxi ($11) to stepping foot on the ship.

BTW….in addition to matching my name and DOB from my passport to my VACCINE CARD, checkin had checking for vaccine type, COVID TESTING of date and type of test, name, and if I was negative.  Really didn’t take long though.

 

No lines…no bad weather.  Time for another Bloody Mary!
