RCI Welcome Home Bonus

Just returned home from my cruise and received an email from RCI about a "Welcome Home" bonus.

Up to $600 OBC depending on category/length of cruise booked within 30 days of disembarking and sailing by a certain date.

 

Is this new ?

Emails are new.  The program is a bit older

Yes. This is basically extending NextCruise benefits up to 30 days after your cruise. Expires this month though.

Yes...the NextCruise program isn't new but getting the offer by email after returning home I thought was.

The 30 days offer isn't super new, no.

I got the same e-mail either in late June or early July.  My last cruise was on Easter Sunday.

Staff shortages onboard led to the repositioning of some Next Cruise staff to other areas of the ship, resulting in passengers not always being able to book a cruise at the Next Desk. 

 

This Welcome Home program eliminates the need to visit the overcrowded Next Desk on your cruise!

 

On a side note, our Next Cruise desk on Oasis in June was noticeably uncrowded at some points...and bat **** crazy at other times.

I know this is crazy, but I think that this is the reason that I booked a certain cruise, and I have been beating myself up, trying to remember the promotion.  I think that this is it.

Can't recall the actual language of the e-mail, so this is a different twist than booking on board.  So, no $100 deposit per guest, but still receive the booking bonus.

 

Also, transferable to TA within the allowable timeframe.

Welcome Home applies to new Nonrefundable bookings made between July 1 – August 31, 2022 (“Offer Period”), and within 30 days after the guest cruise concludes. Welcome Home offers up to $600 USD to spend at sea (“Onboard Credit” or “OBC”) per stateroom on sailings departing between July 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024. Promo Code “SAILAGAIN” must be entered at the time of booking to receive the OBC. OBC amounts are per stateroom and determined by category booked and sailing length: On sailings 4 to 5 nights, $25 OBC for Interior and Oceanview, $50 for Balconies and Junior Suites and $150 for Suites (Grand Suites and above); on sailings 6 to 9 nights, $50 OBC for Interior and Oceanview, $100 for Balconies and Junior Suites and $300 for Suites (Grand Suites and above); on sailings 10 nights or longer, $100 OBC for Interior and Oceanview, $200 for Balconies and Junior Suites and $600 for Suites (Grand Suites and above). Can this promotion be redeemed through a travel agent?  I have booked another cruise in the required timeframe.  I provided the SAILAGAIN code to my travel agent, but I have no way of knowing if it was accepted.
