What a wonderful review, among the best ones I've read here on CC! Obviously you're a professional on the media field, but again, as I normally say; technique one can learn on schools, sensibility to the things or one naturally has or one not; and to make cruise reports, you surely have!... Congrats!... As some say here: RCI or whatever cruise line may be should hire you to make their advertisement!...

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds Oasis class Solariums just too hot.  They're a BEAUTIFUL space, but all that glass with no shade just makes it a big "NOPE!" for me.

I still have a bottle of Hennessy pure white that I bought a decade or two ago on a cruise for about half the price, I love Hennessy it’s my go to cognac, white basically taste the same as regular VS.

I wondered about that. I am now glad I did not buy it. I much prefer VSOP to XO.

I find the upper level much more comfortable than the lower level.

Great review, photos and videos!  Although I knew from the start that you were already home, like others have said, the review really reads as if it was done live.  Thank you for taking time out during your cruise to get the necessary info and photos for it.   As a currently “dry-docked” cruiser, I truly appreciate your efforts .

P.S. A quick question… I cruise solo so do you know if there are any hindrances (reservations, pricing, etc.) for just one person to do the UDP?  Your food photos kept making me so hungry during my late-night reading.  TIA

Thank you so much Tia for your comments. I don’t think you will have any problems getting reservations for one. I saw several people eating in the restaurants solo. The he restaurants weee never fully packed so there will always be room.

@Sea Dog Greg- I have been reading your interesting review and I realize the time and effort it takes to write  and post photos as you did after the cruise.

Both my hubby and I reached lifetime membership in Weight Watchers many years ago. We try to stay with the guidelines of the program- sometimes with success and sometimes not so much. At one of the meetings we attended,a woman,who had also reached lifetime status ,returned from a cruise. Much to her chagrin she had gained twenty-one pounds .

So, in that context,twelve pounds is something you can deal with now that you are back home.

We have found that cruise ship food contains a lot of salt. Wether we can taste it or not,we know salt is there. It causes a bit of water retention and that affects weight gain. Once you are eating your regular meals at home, the scale will go in the right direction because of the water weight. Wishing you good luck in your endeavors.
