FYI, if you cruise with MSC, there's a Lobster (gala night) available as well as one other cruise line (do not remember).

Lobster thermidor in Le Bistro is *chef's kiss*

And costs money. Not quite the same as free lobster like the other lines serve on their formal nights. I'd go on, but this isn't the thread for my opinions about specialty dining being a farce. 🙂

I've never paid for it, I use my free at sea perk

You can have lobster every night in the Terrace if you sail on Oceania. And I do.

You can also have lobster every day for lunch at Waves on Oceania.

The OP was inquiring about a tier one cruise line (NCL) and their lobster status.  Commenting about other tier one lines such as RCI, Carnival or MSC would be relevant.  Bringing up what is available on a tier three line such as Oceania is an apples to oranges comparison.  You get what you pay for and you do pay more for the opportunity to enjoy all of your lobster choices on Oceania.

And if you look at the current menu, even if you use your FAS perk, there is now a $25.00 upcharge involved.

Thank you @CruizinSusan70! I was really confused as I knew it was an upcharge item. Free at Sea to get lobster on NCL. Or, dress up and get lobster on NCL's competitors. I'll just skip the lobster. 🙂

No need to dress up on Carnival to get their lobster 🦞.  On any 6+ day cruise they have all the tail you can eat on their first "elegant" night, which is usually night two.  Don't let the name fool you, you don't have to dress up.  And if you go on one of their new Excel Class ships, you have three different venues in which to get the tails.

I would hope so.  Now back to the topic at hand.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care even a little whether Lobster is/isn’t served?  Don’t get me wrong.  I like Lobster.  But, whether or not it’s available to order is something I’m ambivalent about.

Given a choice between Lobster and scallops, I’ll take the scallops.  Given a choice between Lobster and swordfish, I’ll take sword fish.  Heck, given a choice between Lobster and pizza….pizza wins, hands down.
