Yuck! Which ship?

is the free brunch drink good any day of the cruise or just the last day? I finally turn platinum after my next cruise.

I don't remember but pretty common to see.  I would be happy with just one from the Coffee place

Oh wow... I won't be ordering a chocolate delight on my cruise next month. YUCK! I will use my laundry perk though!

When we cruised on the Mardi Gras, the chocolate delight plate looked 1000% better than that picture posted.  We were platinum on that cruise and did get a voucher linked to our card to a free drink the last night of our cruise.  I used it at the comedy show. I am not sure why we got the voucher, since that benefit isn't listed on the platinum benefits.

Did you also get the free drink at brunch?

I am turning Platinum on my next cruise in April.

My boyfriend is not Platinum yet.  So is he able to still board early with me?

Also - qq:  I have a drink package so the free drinks etc aren't a biggie unless you can use it In the coffeeshop.  Does the drink work there if you have a drink package?

Yes, he can board with you.  Is the drink package Cheers and did you buy it?  Yes, it does work at the coffee shop and it includes alcohol included coffees as well as regular and alcohol included milkshakes.  It would not be good if it was a drinks on us in the casino offering from the players club.

That photo that was posted of Chocolate Delight was nowhere near representative of what I've received so far.  In my most humble opinion it's pretty darned good.

As for how the priority water shuttle works I just did it today in Grand Cayman and it's an absolute breeze compared to what the mere mortals have to do.  You'll get a notice in your cabin's mailbox indicating where to go for priority water shuttle service, and the time range when it's offered.  We showed up about 30 minutes after the start of water shuttle service and there were four other folks waiting.  After a couple of minutes a crew member escorted us out, took us down to deck 0 on an elevator and put us at the front of the line for the next water shuttle.  A few folks in line didn't seem super thrilled with us, but hey, rank has its' privilege.  😁

I really wasn't paying attention to the benefit of the drink for the brunch, so I didn't the to collect it.  The cruise was last February, so I don't recall why I got the free drink on the last night.  I am cruising again in a few days, so will see what happens this time.

So, I'm Platinum, in a Suite (also gets Priority Tender), and booked a Carnival excursion.  That's triple priority, so will they give my family our own private jet boat tender?  As the first tender, of course.😎

You are so priority that you get beamed on to land.

Because of overcrowding at the Platinum party, a glass of wine was given to attendees and all Platinum level cruisers   got a one drink credit good on the last night for I believe 10.50, good for a basic drink.

For the casino free play just go to the casino cashier and hand them your sign and sail card and they will add the $25 to your account and you use your free play when playing the slot machines.

And what would happen if you hadn't spent your $25 slot credit by the end of the cruise? Do you lose it? Do you lose it if you played for 1 minute and still had $20 left? Presumably you'd get to keep it if you came out ahead.

Yes, you would forfeit it.  Your account needs to be zeroed out at the end of the cruise and the credit is worthless, only profits made from it.

If you decided to get your 25 in chips, you could always put it in your pocket and gamble it on a future cruise, giving you 50 to gamble when you combine it with the 25 on the future cruise, assuming of course that the program would still be in place.

So it sounds like you'd have to have more than $25 in your account at the end of the cruise to get anything. If you had $100, they'd subtract out the $25 and you'd get $75. If you had $30, you'd get $5.  If you had between zero and $25, you'd neither get nor pay anything.

If you lost $100, you'd really only lose $75 because you started out at +$25, I'm guessing.

Where does it say that platinum members get a $25 slot credit? I checked and did not see it.

I did see that there was a buy one get one free for the slot tournament.

If you look at "What you get" here:

https://www.carnival.com/vifp.aspx?icid=CC_vifp-club_1866

One line says "Casino: Buy-one-get-one-free tournament entry (Blackjack or Slot only)**"

Note the double asterisks. Go down to the bottom to see what the asterisks mean and find this:

** CASINO – We are currently unable to host casino tournaments on board and guests will be given US $25 in Casino FunPlay®.

Thank you for pointing this out, I did not even pay attention to the asterisks. Do you know if it is automatic or do you have to ask for it in the casino.

Thank you

Don

Pretty sure you have to go to the casino and get it. Can vary from ship to ship, $25 cash, slot credit, or chips. Wouldn’t be surprised if the slot tournaments return.

For future cruises that you may decide to use the laundry perk, be aware that the wash is done in hot water, so be prepared with certain clothing items that hot water may be detrimental to.

All you have to do is write please No Hot wash or Dry on your order form. I always say Cold wash warm dry, please. My laundry had always been fine. That being said I don't send my delicate items.

You have to ask for it in the casino at the cage/cashier.
