What does the wording JADE stand for when I am logged in to my account on ncl.com?

It's laughable... what can it all mean?

I guess it should say your Latitudes status (Platinum, Gold etc) but by programming error instead of the program pulling up the customers Latitudes status it now pulls up a random past booking offer code. This is the third bigger programming error for NCL IT in the last couple of months (first being deleting by accident quite many pax’s online account user id’s, second being false payment info and purchased packages shown on MyNCL, third this).

That being said not sure if these all are NCL IT problems or if they are NCLH IT problems (perhaps there is one IT dept behind all NCLH companies, would make sense). Currently there is some buzz going on amongst Regent passengers: people cannot do online check in, people cannot do online shorex and restaurant bookings, whole bookings have gone missing from pax’s Regent online accounts. I started hearing about these on CC and ”the other site we cannot mention” during yesterday.

The non-random codes seem to be pointing to casino status, hence frequency of Jade, with some pearl and sapphire (person is sapphire with CAS but not NCL) codes mixed in.

Obviously there's some sort of glitch however.

Boring old Jade here - and we've never really gambled on the ship or signed up for the casino rewards.

I kind of feel sorry for folks that work in their IT department and on the website. (Unless they get free or discount cruises as a perk - then I'm jealous.)  IDK, did they ever fix the bug where Vibe passes were advertised as the free "Bamboozled" escape game for $300?

Just off the Epic.  Ours says JADE. We do a few slots and that quarters game each cruise…nothing that amounts to much.  We asked about it at he casino desk.  they said that the first time we run our room card at any of the machines it will activate our CAsino At Seas account. They gave us a brochure that shows the tiers and benefits.  Looks like Jade can use the CAS check in area…which may be quicker than general checkin.

It seems like there is no stand answer. I found my title today, and tried to find answer here in CruiseCritical.

Mine shows "Jade". My wife's shows "Latitude", We both have sailed together in years with NCL, and both never gambling on the ships. I am really curious what the titles mean.

I just noticed that when  I am logged on to my NCL account through ncl.com (not the app), and "click" on "My account" on the upper right side, the wording JADE shows on the top of the "box" - please see a screenshot of it below. Does anyone know what JADE stands for? I have no cruises booked for the Jade, and there is no Latitude level called "Jade" as far as I know (I currently have Diamond status). Of course this is not the most important question to find an answer to when it comes to cruising with NCL - I am just a little curious about what that could mean... ☺️

Hello everyone.

I am the OP who started this thread about this "curious" (and according to all replies that were posted a seemingly very "random") coding on the top of the online NCL-profile when logged in to MyNCL.

Today I just noticed that the information in question has changed, it now simply says "Latitudes" instead of "Jade" - which is more "understanding" to me... 😊

Yes same for me. Went from JADE back to Latitudes recently.  Hopefully I’ll get some of those nice %off offers others have seen.

Hah.  Mine said something about a discount.  Nada. Changes between Jade, Latitudes, xxdiscount.

And I have yet to find anyone at NCL (PCC, CN staff, casino manager) that knows what it means, if anything.
