The blessing happened before her first cruise in Southampton.

I am afraid I found it pretty cringe inducing.  Superlative upon superlative description delivered with little sincerity, mediocre singing etc., etc! If I didn't already know that I enjoyed the Iona product (and had bookings I am looking forward to on both Iona and Arvia) this may well have put me off! Much kudos to the prime minister of Barbados who was short and to the point and knew when to stop! Olly Smith did his bit well.

Mixed reaction on social media. Some loved it some thought it was very poor. Probably just as well I didn't bother to watch it...

I did not enjoy it. Compared to Iona's naming ceremony, which I thought was classy, simple and stayed true to the importance and tradition of the ceremony, I found this to be a huge PR exercise and as @Froxfield has said with very little sincerity. I know people say they are trying to attract a younger audience, but how young? I am mid thirties and starting to realise how much of a traditionalist I am!

The subtitles stole the show.  Otherwise, all a bit odd.

Didn't like the approach from Nicole - who kept referring to it as "my ship"

P&O has posted quite a few short clips on their social media pages, including one of the Captain & Godmother on the Bridge. To say her dress is revealing would be an understatement. One wag has posted a reply saying how good it was that Phil & Grant Mitchell came along... 😂.

These guys pay a lot of money for managers and assistants who oversee everything they do and say. If they didn't like the script it would have been changed

Oh that was just cringeworthy, indulgent rubbish for 99.9% of it. How to reassure potential punters there is no fear the brand is too high-end!
 

But I did rather enjoyed it for the sheer tackiness value.
