Equinox - MDR Menus on 7/2 cruise

And just like that the menus are back to “normal”.  They also reverted to usual MDR menus on our September sailing.

That's good to hear. You mean no upcharge food as well?  Maybe vaping in casino will go away next week.

It was pork and beans and more a play on words I think.  I didn't have it but I believe it was roast pork with some sort of beans as the veg.

@Georgia_Peaches is onboard now and has confirmed that the "vaping allowed" sign is in the casino.

Vaping, seriously.

Thanks much for the update! I just checked the menus for our July 30 sailing and yes the original menus with the classics offered is back! For them to change so quickly, they must have received enough complaints. Following my letter to the Executive Office, a representative called me. From speaking with her it sounded as if the trial with the new menus would last for a while. I am quite relieved!!

I was happy until I looked at menus for sailing starting today on Equinox.  They are back to the test menus.  Hoping someone on cruise starting today can confirm menu when they go to dinner tonight.

I just checked our sailing on the 28th- back to the test menus!!!! 😖😖

If only we knew in advance what cruises will be “test cruises”…

 

Sadly they don’t seem to give any advance notice on it - and I suspect even if they did it would be after final payment so you couldn’t move it or cancel it without losing a lot of money.

Sliced franks with baked beans were being served at the Buffet on the Beyond.  Corn bread was also at that station.

Thus far it has been Equinox, but what is to stop them from doing a trial on another ship? Absolutely nothing. They don’t have a warning banner up for Equinox (or any ship) saying “This is the ship we try things on.”

 

My point is, we have no way of knowing when they will do a trial or what ship it will be on. Everyone could start avoiding the Equinox and they change trials to another ship.

Could be...

 

But perhaps they picked Equinox for another reason due to the quality of the captain and staff.

 

They have yet to do a trial that is an improvement...

Where do you go to find the menus? I found one when I looked but it sounds like people are seeing more.

They are on the app under dining.  The Equinox has reverted back to the test menus as of the 7/8 sailing.

Go to the app for your cruise, dining, main dining, menu. Once you click menu , each day will come up.
