Stop calling me

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to make Royal stop calling you to "finish your booking" when you're just trying to price out different cruises?  If I wanted to actually purchase the cruise I'd enter my card info and press the damn button, Royal!  Don't call me, I'll call you.

Don’t use the RCI site for that.

I search often on their site and have only had them call me once.  Strange.

Same.  I did a mock booking on NCL like 3 years ago and they call way more often. I had to eventually block the number.

Go to your profile and see what you have listed as contact information.  I have not listed my phone number or email.

RCI can track me through their website, however.  I booked my cruise a couple of weeks ago, with an independent TA,  after pricing out the cruise on RCI's website.  Now whenever I go onto the site, I get a reminder to finish my booking. 😁

Put on your best foreign accent and say “Thank you for calling Microsoft customer services today……How may I help you?” Then no matter what they say, just list a pre-prepared menu of service plans you can offer them at a special “one day only” discount!

Sugarloaf had this right: Don't call us, We'll call you...

For a little more spice.

Well, listen, kid, you paid for the call
You ain't bad but we've heard it all before
And it sounds like John, Paul and George

I believe there is a way.  Each time you do a mock booking to get a price, etc., be sure to "clear" the mock booking and then start over with another one.  I'm not sure if this will help you, but it has stopped the website, at least, from asking me to finish a booking.  I have never received a phone call.  I guess they don't think I'm worthy enough, lol.

Same. I price 5-7 days a week on their site and even held cabins often, never have they called for that. And they have my cell number

NCL doesn't call me, but they do send me tons of unnecessary pamphlets in the mail.

Posted (edited)

I've never had RCL call me.  NCL calls me about once a month.  I have been on one cruise with them, back at the end or 2022, and have nothing booked with them currently.

My last of 2 NCL cruises was Sept. 2009.  I did do a search a couple months ago which trigger frequent calls.

I also do it often and have never had them call me. Weird! But good, also you don't have to pick up.

I know Royal's occupancy rates are off the charts but I have no idea how other cruise lines are doing...  Is NCL sailing at 100+ capacity as well.  My suspicion is no...

I have never had either Royal or Celebrity contact me. The other day I went on Carnival’s site to look at the Mardi Gras new TA (was bored) to look at the itinerary. Within ten minutes of clicking off of the site they called me. I also receive two casino offers weekly from them and we haven’t cruised with Carnival in over twenty years. NCL hasn’t called me in about five years.

How do you "clear" a booking?

When I search for cruises I make sure I am not logged in.  On the web page at the top I go to Find A Cruise.  It shows all available cruises, but I choose particular ships or destinations, number of days, etc.  When results show, directly under the results is a "clear all" tab. I don't know how to screen shot it to show you, but I'm sure you'll see it.
