Oh dear, Rhapsody is in the wars again!

Hi guys,

We are currently on day 4 of Rhapsody's round trip out of Venice, have an inside cabin on deck 7.

About 5am this morning there was a severe list as we were travelling through a low pressure storm. Some stuff was flying across our room, wardrobe door flying open. Luckily I am a tidy person and keep the dresser top clear so no broken glass.

Captain came on and made 3 announcements telling us everything was under control and to explain what was causing the problem.

Oh my, we only went up on deck an hour ago. There is damage to the Viking crown lounge, 12 large windows have gone through. Several smaller windows on the pool deck have gone through.

Everyone is okay, not heard of any injuries.

Today is a sea day, tomorrow is/was Santorini. Priority is to repair the ship and keep everyone safe so if the itinerary is not altered I would be surprised. Will see what happens.

We, too, are currently on Rhapsody. That was a scary wake up when the ship listed and didn't right itself for what felt like minutes. Everything flew off the dressing table , the small table fell over, my bed lurched across the floor and our bedside table toppled against the bed. We thought the ship was going down so grabbed some clothes and made our way upstairs. We weren't allowed out onto the pool deck and were advised to go to the promenade deck. We weren't allowed out but were advised to wait in the casino. Lots of people milling around in various stages of undress, including one man wearing only underpants. The crew are working very hard to dry out the carpets as water was pouring down the stairs and we could hear it in the lift shafts. I feel so sorry for them as they had the rude awakening too, but have to work all day with smiles on their faces. I'm sure they must wish we had a port day so they could get on with repairs and mop up without thousands of guests milling round. It doesn't help that it's not sunbathing weather so more people are inside

Hi just got an email from my son and his wife on their honeymoon cruise aboard rhapsody .Things are fine aboard, told to wear shoes because of chance of broken glass. Captain has made a few announcements nothing about cancelling ports. They just saw lightning out their window, hopefully no more bad weather
