Your favorite "sail away" song

Most cruises now play some music for sail away. What is your ideal song that you would like to hear as you sail from the pier or the port?

I've never heard any songs played my husband and I always sing to ourselves Sail away by Enya and sail away by David Gray on sailing day.

If there were to be an official one I'd love Mr Probz - Waves

I have always thought royal Caribbean could make sail away much more exciting than they do! I've been on princess once and it was a real thing literally everyone pool deck - royal Caribbean is meh in my opinion

Well, on our lake, it would be "On the Pontoon"!!:p

On the river, it would be "Proud Mary"!!;)

On a cruise ship, it's a toss up between "Some beach" and "Margaritaville"!!:cool:

When we did an Alaska sailing several years ago, that was the exact song they played at the sail away. :eek::eek::eek::eek:

A real oldie 'Sea Cruise' by Frankie Ford.

'Sailing' by Mike Oldfield - chorus : "Cast the lines away, from the dock at the harbour bay. All those cares and worries and woes - you can save them for another day, because we're saaaiillling !"

Also Kokomo as mentioned earlier, great for Caribbean cruises.

Interesting how some of us prefer upbeat songs for sailaway and some prefer calming ones.
