Your longest cruise, where and how long?

Recommended Posts

We started with 6 days, then did. 9 day, then a 12, then a 15 but have to stick with that because of work commitments etc. dreaming of the day when I can sail back to back around the world (a while yet!).

What's your longest cruise and where did you go?

18 day Holland America - Panama canal -- we have our eyes on a few 30 day cruises when we retire. (if we have any money) :)

Longest Royal -- 15 day Hawaii. I wish they would start doing those again :(

So far, our longest cruise was the 12-Night Baltic we just took. We loved it, and it didn't seem too long at all!:D We have a 15-Night Panama Canal cruise booked, but that's probably about the longest we can do until DH retires.

Our longest was a 17 night TA on Celebrity Century, BCN to FLL. We have done 3 B2B2B on Explorer also, 28 nights and 26 nights. We are booked on the Explorer repo cruise this year, which will put us half way to Pinnacle.

Coming up in 2016...... B2B on Celebrity Eclipse..... will be 37 days on board. Can't wait! (New Zealand and Australia circumnavigation)

You are going to LOVE this trip! We just got back from NZ, and did the circumnavigation of Australia several years ago. Amazing combination.

In 2007, we quit our jobs and spent 128 days exploring Europe, mostly by cruise ship.

On May 4th, we sailed from New York to the Med and Black Sea on Holland America's Prinsendam (39 days) then boarded NCL for 12 days, for 51 non-stop days of cruising.

We took an overnight ferry (an old cruise ship), then were on land for about 10 days before a Royal Caribbean cruise in the Adriatic Sea. By now it was really hot in the Med, so we flew to Amsterdam, hung out in Rotterdam for a few days, and then caught the Prinsendam again to sail to the Polar Ice Cap (18 days) followed by the Kiel Canal and Baltic (14 days) followed by switching to the Veendam for a Northern Transatlantic cruise through the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland before returning to New York on September 9th (This was another 50 days straight on cruise ships.)

We loved it! Cruising is a fabulous way to explore Europe, and if you didn't get to spend the summer in Europe in your 20s, why not in your 40s (or 60s, or later?)
