Christmas decorations

We sail on the Crown on the 7th December. Can I expected her to be decorated for Christmas already?

We were on the Sea Princess 6 years ago and while it wasn't decorated when we got on in early December by mid December she was :)

I'm hoping it still happens as taking the kids on the Golden Princess this December.

I think it depends on the schedule of the company that does the decorating. The last two November cruises we were on it was done before we docked the first of December.

They usually decorate the first time they arrive back in a US port immediately after thanksgiving.

Aha thanks! Could be either then I guess. I'm not sure of what her schedule is between thanksgiving and when we board, I'll have to check that

Yes. They'll have Christmas trees throughout the ship and the atrium area will have garlands and poinsettias. Your cruise is during the last days of Hanukkah, so there will also be a display for that.

We were on the Crown last December (boarded on the ninth) and it was completely decorated for Christmas. The one partial exception was the Ginger Bread houses...they weren't complete until a couple days into the trip.

There will be some decorations out. They start the cruise after Thanksgiving, at least we’ve seen that on cruises out of San Franciscico and Los Angeles

Will our cruise on the Star be decorated for Christmas when we leave for Hawaii Dec 4 ,2019 ?

Yes, usually starts the week after Thanksgiving.

Every December cruise I've been on (starting as early as the 2nd) has had decorations up. Last year, we cruised on the 8th and they had been up since the week of Thanksgiving (according to a friend on the ship).

Yes, we always sail the week after Thanksgiving and they normally are putting up decorations then.

They start taking them down by January 2, even if at sea. There should not be any left by January 6.

That is what is great about this forum we learn about each other :)

Sailing Nov 17 on the crown bringing a few small cheap xmas decorations :) I always start decorating at home after Thanksgiving Dinner is cleared up even if it is something small :).

They are all gone right after New Years.

We were on the Regal last December 6-13 and they were decorating the ship on port days. It was very interesting to watch them. By the 2nd formal night the ship looked spectacular and the photo opportunities were amazing.
