New Boarding Passes

Okay...so I find out through another site that Carnival has rolled out new & 'improved'? ;)boarding passes and we leave in a week on the Breeze.

So, I go to print...

We have 4 cabins, FTTF and one Priority through casino that also has FTTF. The NEW boarding passes do not show FTTF ANYWHERE on them. The INVOICE still shows it, so I know that it wasn't mistakenly dropped/cancelled in the system. The luggage tags also have nothing on them showing FTTF. The new ones show the priority for one cabin, but no FTTF. (The old showed both.) The cabins with just FTTF show...a blank white space where the logo should be. Nothing about it on the boarding passes.

SO...bottom line. The old luggage tags I printed after final payment, along with the OLD boarding passes are the ones I will be using to get into the port terminal.

I can see the procrastinators not getting in unless they print their invoice to show that they have access.

Probably another of those oversight computer programmer errors!

HEADS UP, though. If you don't have your old docs/tags, BRING YOUR INVOICE to prove FTTF early terminal access.

The four cabins with JUST FTTF show nothing.

The one cabin with Priority, just shows priority. I know from past casino cruises that just having Priority does NOT get FTTF privileges...room is not ready.

So, while not an issue for the cabin with Priority showing, it would be an issue (had I not printed before the change) for those with just FTTF getting the luggage service, or getting into the terminal earlier than their assigned time. Both of those being reasons for purchasing FTTF.

Regardless, I do have MY ducks in a row and those of my traveling companions.

However, if I had not printed docs before the change, the only way to prove the FTTF benefits is ...bringing the invoice to show the port door guards and porters. It is no longer on the boarding passes or luggage tags.

I heard about this on FB too. I hope Carnival is not relying on social media for changes to their boarding passes. So, until Carnival contacts me directly and tells me to change my boarding pass or luggage tags, they will stay the same.

I saved a pdf version of my boarding documents when I made my final payment. The new format is what is available now when you print your documents. Interestingly, when I select to print just luggage tags, FFTF shows up on them. Not so much for the boarding pass.

The boarding passes for my January 20th Triumph cruise show FTTF, but the boarding passes for my January 28th Dream cruise don't show FTTF. FTTF is on both excursion lists.

I don't know about the luggage tags. I don't check bags.

Edit: I just checked the luggage tags. January 20th shows FTTF, but January 28th doesn't.

Just my opinion- take it for what it's worth... but if it were me and my cruise was any time in the next few weeks, I'd be calling Carnival TODAY to find out what the heck is going on, not depending on us here on Cruise Critic for a definitive answer... if I paid for FTTF I'd be expecting to see it on my boarding pass and my luggage tags.

If your cruise is still more than a few weeks away, I'd probably wait and check back before Christmas to see if this was just a temporary computer glitch. If not, I'd be calling!

Good advice shady. I would also take my receipt to prove you paid for your FTTF as well, just in case the computer glitch affected what they can see on your account.

My new boarding pass for my January cruise shows both PRIORITY and FTTF but the luggage tags only show PRIORITY......

That's two of us :) I'm Platinum. Are you as well or did you book casino rate, pay for FTTF, etc.? I ask because I'm trying to make some rhyme or reason to these changes.

I called Carnival and they said they scan the barcode on the boarding pass to see all the information on the booking, FTTF, etc. But you can still use your old boarding passes if you already printed them. I'm going to use my old ones just in case and take a copy of my FTTF invoice for both rooms.
