hcps-osullivax Posted February 6, 2013 #452 Share Posted February 6, 2013 What do you guys think about the names they revealed tody? Quantom of the Seas, and then Anthem of the Seas. Personally I think they are a litttle differnt but really cool. I cannot wait to watch the coming months as they build yet another beautiful ship!! And I cannot wait to eventually sail on here one day. Quantom Class here I come!
Elvis1209 Posted February 6, 2013 #453 Share Posted February 6, 2013 -swim up bar-swim up bar -swim up bar -lazy river -sports bar - anything and everything for adults only, love kids but there is enough ships for them already!!! I agree! In fact make the entire ship "adults only"! That'll never happen though. So maybe we can settle for a "no pressure" spa, and of course a cigar lounge. Outdoor seating at the Windjammer would also be nice. Elvis

Elvis1209 Posted February 6, 2013 #455 Share Posted February 6, 2013 No more smoking indoors Anywhere including cabins lounges, casino balconies etcCheaper price for pictures ...10$ each everyone would buy them all ...me too or have a group price like 6 pix for 50$ They sure would sell more ..plus it only costs pennies to print so the company would rake it in I had to respond to this. If you don't like to smoke stay out of the smoking areas or better yet, go on a smoke-free ship. Why do you have to deny me the pleasure of my nightly cigar! big al Posted February 6, 2013 #457 Share Posted February 6, 2013 A Pub with NO SMOKING..a Pub with SOME food like Fish & Chips, sandwiches, nachos, garlic cheese bread ( like all British pubs have)...O'Sheehan's on the Epic has 24/7 dining HEATED pools Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse More OUTSIDE dining options ( like the new NCL Breakaway class will have) More options for room service- especially breakfast..like just an omelet instead of scrambled eggs ( which come cold 80% of the time) More DRAFT BEER that actually works..RCI has the WORST selection of draft beers..only Heineken and Stella are found at maybe 2 places ( British Pub & one other)...both Carnival ( now with their Red Frog Pub & Ale) & NCL have 4-5 drafts ( that actually work,too!)..and NO Bud,Miller,Coors, all the truck driver beers-leave those in bottles and at least get maybe Sam Adams,Sierra Nevada,Amber Bock,Dos Equis Amber, and maybe Beck's to start . An AFT adult pool like HAL & Princess have...put it somewhere below the Flowrider..I love those views of the wake..soft caribbean music, maybe some palm trees, tiki bar, hot tubs... A REAL Sports Bar...a place that will have one GIANT screen and 6-8 smaller screens for all to see Football,NBA,NHL,baseball..and get a decent satellite system. Don't put it near the casino or the ice-rink. Put it somewhere separate, where people can scream, cheer on their teams, and not interefere ( or get interefered with) other venues. At LEAST appetizers available to eat...free popcorn & peanuts,,small $$ for the rest...it's not a good idea to have people drinking on an empty stomach. An INTERNATIONAL food square which has some Indian,Asian, maybe Peruvian ( great food),Greek, or Spanish small restaurants ( that seat maybe 30-50 people, one on each corner) Bigger staterooms ( at least 225-235 sq ft for D1's) and lounge chairs on the balconies..the Oasis staterooms were 15% smaller than Freedom class and I definitely felt it... Cooley Consumers Posted February 7, 2013 #466 Share Posted February 7, 2013 I suspect that the size of the ships are basically a "Freedom of the Seas" base, with the "Oasis of the Seas" concepts of both interior and exterior balconies for the super-structure, thereby doubling the possible revenue for this well loved stateroom. I suspect that there will be "neighborhoods" as on the Oasis class ships, with the RCI dining options (e.g. Chops Grille, etc.). I doubt that we shall see the upscale dining such as 150 Central Park from the Oasis ships, but we shall see the Royal Promenade from both the Freedom and Oasis class ships. The entertainment venues may be expanded. For example, the Oasis class has entertainment in the theater and the ice venue, and Oasis class has these plus the Aqua show venues. I hope that Mr. Fain can arrange to have another carousel on the Sunshine ship! Might we also have an entertainment venue that truly highlights the Shrek, Puss 'n Boots, and Dragons in their own theater (ala Disney)? The other question posed is where these ships will cruise. The Caribbean is being over saturated, and if the ships are to be used in the Far East/Southeast Asia, there may be some consideration to being able to "remodel" the ships by removable interiors to expand casino areas for the Asian markets (reducing theater areas), and if used in Europe/North America have smaller casinos but larger theaters. Basically, the Sunshine ships could have removable interiors! (roll on, roll off) Finally, the interesting name "Sunshine" project suggests some use of solar technology (panels?) or wind turbines to assist in generating electrical current for azipods. THAT would be novel (does any other cruise line have such a vessel?), and such a "green" vessel could answer new pollution restrictions in ports around the world. Ladysilver Posted February 7, 2013 #468 Share Posted February 7, 2013 I would love to see some cabins that would allow passengers to bring their dog with them. buffi001 Posted February 8, 2013 #470 Share Posted February 8, 2013 NO SMOKING throughout the ship...especially on balconies. Time for Royal Caribbean to catch up to the policies of the other cruise lines.
GEORGET Posted February 8, 2013 #471 Share Posted February 8, 2013 As a non smoker would like, designated bars inside for smokers, smoker only cabins and balconies on one side of the ship smoking only. All suites can of course do what they like. All tips and taxes included in the up front price. Casino to stay open while there are still players there, adult comedy shows, better choice of draught beer, somewhere on all ships where you can get a snack 24hours without going back to your cabin. Shower that is bigger with a screen rather than the over friendly curtain. Decent bar of soap Air conditioning that works Proper indian FOOD restaurant Option of hot, when it arrives, food and fried eggs on the cabin breakfast menu. No overbooking for the ice shows so if you have a ticket you can get a seat. An adult only zone. Freedom dinning in the Main dinning room so i can eat when i want to rather than a fixed time. i have my time dinning usually but if tips are included in the price this would be the best option. Menu change during the cruise in the specialist restaurants g

clean1owner Posted February 8, 2013 #473 Share Posted February 8, 2013 The word is quickly spreading that Royal Caribbean has signed a letter of intent to build its next generation of new cruise ships. (At 158,000 tons and carrying 4,100 passengers, they're more Freedom-sized than Oasis-sized.) We're curious: What would you like to see RCI include on these new ships in terms of dining, public spaces, activities, etc.? HORSE RACES! a
Rare Germancruiser Posted February 8, 2013 #474 Share Posted February 8, 2013 I agree with the poster who would love to have the option of looking out at sea again- as it is with their Vision and Radiance Class of ships. I NEVER will set foot on board their big ones as Voyager, Freedom or even those monstrosities Oasis and Allhoror- äh Allure- Class of ships! Desert Cruizers Posted February 8, 2013 #475 Share Posted February 8, 2013 We sailed our first Freedom Class on the LOS and though we had great service etc etc, I missed not seeing the ocean from inside as the Radiance Class does, so on the new ships, why not have both a Royal Promenade and larger glass areas rather then the intire length a RP.
