Super!! Sailing the Freedom at the end of Sept. I was a afraid I was going to miss it. Do they replace the DJ on the lido or do they just play random locations occasionally?

Mostly by pool, sometimes casino if weather. Two performers, singer/keyboard, the steel drummer is REALLY good.

I hope this does not mean Caribbean music on Lido all the time. I'd rather rip my ears off. I can only hear Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffett oh so many times before I want to jump overboard.

Thank you! I so agree. I really like a good mix of all sorts of music and would like some Caribbean mixed in. However, the DJ was too loud and actually got annoying some times.

Hoping that there is a good mix as I would go crazy listening to steel drums all day!

Good news, now if they would just get rid of the Playlist Productions,(or limit them to one night), and the games shows that pass for entertainment, I might decide to book a Carnival cruise.

This is AWESOME news, literally made my day (and weekend)!!!! :D :D I love the Caribbean style music (especially the steel drums) as well as Jimmy Buffett. Now, I'm looking forward to my B2B on the Breeze in December 2015/January 2016 even more (something I wouldn't have thought possible as I was already SUPER excited)!!!! :D :D I hope they have one of these bands on the Sunshine when I sail with my boyfriend in December 2016. it'll be his 1st ever cruise and I want him to have the real, full Caribbean cruise experience.

Just off the Breeze two weeks ago, and I thought they had a nice mix of music on Lido. They had a Caribbean duo called "Frontside Duo"; solo guitar players Travis and Steve who alternated afternoons; and DJ Blendz, who provided the music for things like hairy chest, ice carving, and line dancing. Generally they'd do 45-minute sets.

That sounds great. Way to go, Carnival!

I am so excited about this...it was a missing piece from the last few cruises compared to some of the first cruises I took. It really set the tone and made me feel like I was on vacation. I hope it makes it way to the Magic before February. I really miss some of the things they used to do!

Excellent! I'll be on the Liberty in November and really missed the live music. As a musician myself, I love sitting there watching guys play, and drooling over their gear:)

Looking forward to it!
