What is that ONE thing that keeps you coming back?

Everyone has their reasons for cruising with Celebrity. Not everyone has the exact same reason though. For some it's price, or it's the itineraries, or the ships themselves. Yes, there are many who have some minor complaints, myself included, but we keep coming back because there are some great things on this line. So what is that ONE thing that has you coming back to Celebrity?

For me it's just the overall atmosphere/feeling of the cruise line. When I am on board, I feel welcome. Every person I have encountered that works for Celebrity, even those I may have had some issues in how they handled a bad situation, has been professional and friendly. The service has never been lacking and, once they know your name, they do not forget it. I wish I could say the same about the other cruise line I've sailed on, but it's more the rarity with them rather than the norm.

Celebrity has a great product, but they're not perfect. NO cruise line is. However, in my opinion, they're the best out there for what I want in a cruise. I am willing to pay a little bit more to get what they offer.

We like many things about Celebrity Cruises, but if we are to name just ONE thing, it would be itineraries! Unusual ports of call, overnight stays, special event sailings. When we look for itineraries that we like often enough Celebrity comes at the top of our list!

We currently have three cruises booked, the first on Celebrity followed by HAL and RCI. We generally choose HAL or Celebrity as we find that the two offer comparable products, with itineraries generally the deciding factor. For example, last month we did a HAL Canada - New England cruise because they offered a one week version while Celebrity offered only a two week cruise. On the other hand, HAL couldn't match Celebrity's two week southern Caribbean cruise for next March. The RCI booking is an anomaly, a 12 person, 3 generation family cruise with ages ranging from 18 months to 74 years. This is a cruise for the kids and grandkids, not one we would ever have chosen for ourselves.

After being loyal customers of NCL for many many years, our first cruise with Celebrity was on the Reflection Greece and Turkey cruise. There was something about the staff and their kindness towards the passengers that really impressed us. We loved the atmosphere and the calm attitude.

No roller coasters, bumper cars, sky hooks(or whatever those two things on RC are), climbing walls, belly flop contests, zip lines, interior crowded and noisy promenades, robot bartenders, performance art events or whatever where giant whirling video screens overwork every still functioning cell in my brain (no comments on how many I have.LOL) and please NO huge pink bears or other animals that to some may be as frightening as clowns after midnight. I also like being on a ship that feels like a ship and not the Vegas Strip or a floating amusement park.

Relaxation on beautiful well appointed ships that offer excellent accommodations, dining and stellar service.

Definitely the service for me. On our most recent cruise I filled out an in-cruise comment card complimenting our room steward and his assistant. I received a thank you note back from the hotel director thanking me for recognizing them. To a person, everyone on the crew were extremely friendly and the officers were out and about mingling with the passengers all the time.

....sometimes something just feels right, it fits.

Not too stuffy, not too casual.

Good itineraries you can string together or enjoy as separates.

Ships modern but still have not lost elegance.

Great suite rooms with perks that do enhance your experience.

I guess Celebrity do have the X factor....three booked and awaiting the new itineraries.

We love the little niceties like Champagne on boarding, little gifts and fresh fruit in the stateroom, afternoon cheese plate, icy towels and drinks on return to the ship.

Aqua class is great for us - Blu, Persian Garden, shower, etc.

Love the absence of announcements, loud DJs (better than it was, still room for less DJ, more live music).

After 25 cruises on Royal Caribbean we found an even better line for us.

So many things keep us coming back. The crew has always been top notch with us. The ships are so lovely, classy, clean and so very comfortable. I love the solarium pool and hubby loves the "no extra charge" saunas. So many lines are putting the saunas in the spa and charging extra, he loves to work out and head to the sauna. Difficult to do when the sauna is a distance away from the gym. We also love no smoking anywhere inside the ship. It is so nice to be able to go in the casino. I have some health issues that smoke makes worse so avoid the casino on other lines. Saves me money but I do like to have a choice.

So many things keep me coming back! I've met wonderful people on my two Equinox cruises (both fellow passengers and crew) and look forward to new friendships when I sail on Solstice next April.

To Bigbillfromchicago, who is actually from Des Plaines...greetings! I am in Schaumburg now but grew up in Des Plaines! Small world!!!

Our reasons for choosing Celebrity keeps changing. At first we chose them for the relaxed, subdued environment onboard that we enjoyed on the luxury ships we used to sail, but with a younger, more dynamic crowd.

Then, the reason we stayed with Celebrity was because of Aqua Class.

And now we stay with them because of the Suite Class.

Although we alternate with Azamara now because of their "destination immersion".
