Hi Lloyd and all:

I think the bow shot shows a stunning profile... this ship is way ahead of the curve ... Thank you again Lloyd for all these postings.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everybody. All the joys this season can bring to you and your families is wished to one and all!

Cheers, Murray

Thanks Lloyd555 for sharing the installation photos of that awesome bridge block. I agree 44North the exterior construction of The Edge is ahead of schedule.

The glass at the stern of the ship is Eden.

Also, The Celebrity Edge looks better than a car carrier ferry ship .

Unquestionably Eden. I wrote 'I see glass (or whatever it is) on Eden' because I get asked about the roof/window on Edge and on the Symphony of the Seas' Solarium. People want to know what it is made of.

I have enjoyed watching the building process, thank you Lloyd.

I am also waiting to see the final aft section of decks 8-12 installed. I guess they are going to finish installing the glass for Eden first. Hopefully it won’t be long now!

She has really come together in the past week! Looks like a beautiful ship. The bow is so different. I can't wait to sail her in January, 2019.

Lloyd you are doing such a wonderful job, and service, to all of us who love to watch a ship take place. I followed you with Silhouette and I believe Eclipse and now this new series. Thanks so much.

The Eclipse and Silhouette construction photo series were by Andreas Depping. He was given access to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany where the S-class ships were built.

Meyer Werft also had the webcam in the construction hanger, where we could watch it come me together.

Lloyd:

I have been watching your posts for some time and appreciate and thank you for all the great information.

Based on your experience, do you think Edge be delivered on time based on the progress to date? I am booked on the 2018 NYE cruise. Because of the EXTRA high fares for that cruise, I am concerned that work will still be ongoing during the cruise as has happened with other ships. Also the crew will have had very little time to become a real team. Your thoughts?

Happy holidays to you and yours,

Mark

I was about to book the NYE Cruise in 2018 as well. I am not yet decided- dear friends are on board the Millenium now and even though they like the friendly servcie the great crew and also the ship, they are rather disappointed with the food in the Main Dining Room, the Buffet is almost unbearble bad! Cova- äh al Baccio always overcdrowded, seldom one can find a seat- thanks to the drinking packages they often include in the price! Sushi- no longer for free. Solarium snack- no longer for free!

That is absolutley no longer the Cruise Line of my choice. So I fear I have to stick with Cunard! The Edge may be a beauty , but with the degradation of Celebrity....! Well we will see!
