Silhouette.. what is the best Aqua Class cabin?

We prefer forward (no overhang) and starboard a few cabins in from the elevator. You wind up under the salon and not subject to the scraping of deck chair in the AM or loud pool parties in the evening. Try 1542 if you like the bed near the bathroom.

We prefer the bow due to no overhang and are A2 so less expensive. Like the sound of the waves crashing off the bow too. 1545 and 1550 are right next to the the Angle that cuts in, so good view.

Cabins on the angle at the bow are AQ (1). They have much larger balconies. Would be 1547, 49, 52, and 54. 1547 and 52 have the advantage of less overhang.

Cabins toward bow may have a little more motion though of course.

We also prefer the forward staterooms on the port side on S-Class.

Don´t be fooled by the fact that they are in a lower category (A2). In fact most peoply do not use the free upgrade to A1 because of the (better) location of the A2s.

The mentioned staterooms are underneith the Persian Garden. No overhang and no noise from above and close to the elevators without people walking by all the time.

1610....on the hump....biggest veranda...right next to the top suites so your stateroom attendant is best around....close to elevator yet still quiet...just a great location and stateroom....we were in it for a 12 day Med cruise....wonderful!!!!!

The A2's back aft are excellent choices. They have cabins (suites) above them, and the only overhang will be the balcony above. They are close to the aft elevators -- up to the buffet/lawn club/sunset bar, down to the cellar masters/martini bar/dining.

If you like bed by the bath, 1621 on the port side, and 1626 on the starboard side. If you like bed by the balcony, 1623 port, and 1624 starboard side.

We like A1's 1583 or 1585. As we like the overhang. Overall we like cabins center aft. We stayed forward once did not like it at all. We have thought of trying the A2's with the suites above.

I booked 1549 (A1) earlier this year and had to be moved to another cabin, in a lower category. It was the only time in 16 years of cruising I have ever moved.

There is a piece of window washing equipment permanently affixed outside this cabin and Celebrity notates it as a 'obstructed view' but doesn't share that information with TA's. It is also under the overhang and is dark and depressing.

We moved to 1501 (A2) (Farthest Forward Port) and were pleased but felt plenty of motion being at the top forward cabin. It is also listed as an obstructed view, but it is only with the bridge overhang one deck below. Sitting on the deck there are no obstructions in the view and you can see 180 degrees. It is also directly adjacent to the Persian Garden Relaxation Room.

We were in 1636 - A2. Cabins above and below.

Our next cruise we took the upgrade to A1 and will be under the pool. However we are not concerned as we are going to the baltics in early may and it will be cold. Doubt if the pool will be used all that much.

Last year we had 1635 on the Silhouette and rebooked the same exact cabin for our Feb.cruise.

We booked the 2017 cruise on the ship last year and were offered the A1 for no additional charge. ( they charge more for the A1's typically) but declined. We thought the location was great and close to the elevators.

We had 1574 in September. Yes there is an overhang but we prefer it that way since we are not ones to lay out in the sun. Noise from the pool deck above was never an issue and we were nice and close to the elevators. It sounds like almost any Aqua cabin is nice.

We'll be in 1542 on the Silhouette in April - TA. I'm happy to hear a recommendation.

We had cabin 1501 on a TA cruise on the Silhouette. It was great being next to the Relaxation room. We really enjoyed this cabin. Easy access to the hidden stairway to go up one level. This was a very quiet cabin. On the downside, as noted in a prior post, you can feel more movement up front.

  • 5 years later...

Look on the site that lists what is above and below the cabin.   Too far forward on the starboard and you will be under the treadmills

Port side will get smoke drifting from the smoking areas.

Under the pool you will get deck noise when they move the pool loungers

Under the buffet you will get noise from the rolling carts.

There are also beds by the bath or buy the balcony.  I like by the balcony.   More room in and out of the bath and area to dress instead of walking around the bed.

Some like by the bath as it makes the sitting area larger by the balcony.

Some prefer forward as it is closer to the Persian Gardens, Solarium and gym.

Others in the rear as it is closer to the food areas

Some like the overhang to stay out of the sun. Others that love sun don’t like it.

Pick your poison.   There is no perfect cabin

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
