Did you or anyone from your group venture outside the compound?

Thanks, ckrobyn!

Yes, several CC members walked around the Falmouth streets, there were many vendors for food, drinks, clothing, and souvenirs.

Hello everyone and Good Morning . . . Welcome to DAY 5 of “LIVE” from Harmony of the Seas.

When I got back to the ship yesterday I was able to try the Perfect Storm. I was very exciting and very fast. I wanted to take my GoPro Hero6 but that was not allowed. . . They also didn’t allow you to wear a t-shirt, or wear a watch. The line was a little long but it was very cool. I tried to try the Ultimate Abyss bit it was closed. Maybe next time it will be open.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine up on Deck 12. There was a whole story involved with the meal involving stories about dinner courses. (Sun, Ice, Fire, Sea, and Earth). We didn’t have dessert though, we had “Dreams”. It felt like dinner with Alice in Wonderland. It was a nice change for dinner and I would recommend it for those who would like an Imaginative Dinner.

I woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise, with warm temps. This looks like it will be another fantastic day at sea. There are a lot of activities today. There is no way anyone can do them all, but it appears that there is something for everyone. Musical, athletic, casual, water games, comedy, bingo . . . and I almost forgot Casino Royale. I don’t think that I mentioned that Casino Royale has been very Radio Friendly.

Captain Gus has something profound to say every day at noon, and the best quote so far was “Don’t take yourself too seriously because no one else is”

Here are a few pics from last night and this morning . . .

Thanks for tuning in.

Having sailed Allure (1x) and Oasis (3x) previously, do you feel as if Ultimate Abyss is blocking the view? What is your preference, open view or having Ultimate Abyss as a feature?

Yes, Ultimate Abyss can be a distraction to your view if you book a Boardwalk Balcony. I would never book a balcony here as I prefer an Ocean view Balcony. . .

Thanks, ckrobyn!

We went to Montego Bay to Doctor Cave Beach which is right in town. Had a lovely day. It was very crowded, but everyone was polite.

At the end of the day, the Housewives of Orange County showed up with a film crew and major security. Pretty cool.

In the picture you took of the whirlpool on the suite deck. There appears to be some blue "Edging" on the edges of the seat in the pool. Is that decoration? Or is the fiberglass in the pool delaminating and damaged?

It appears to be Anti Slip edging applied to the steps . . .

Hello everyone . . . Today was another relaxing day at sea. I spent the day doing a few things but most of it turned out to be a whole lot of nothing. It’s amazing how when you plan a cruise you seem to plan everything out to make sure that you can do all of the things that you’ve read about or watched reviews on.

I was invited to have lunch up in Coastal Kitchen. There weren’t many passengers up there and our server suggested that usually, those last two days are the busiest. I had perch for lunch and it was very tasty. The views were very nice, and it was very relaxing to be there.

One of the most important things to do on a day at sea was accomplished today as I was able to watch the News for about 90 min. I was able to do a little shopping and chose some photos (The photos are all digital format). Tonight is the second formal night, and I sure most in my group will consume a nice broiled Lobster (or two).

Tomorrow morning Harmony of the Seas will be in Cozumel at the International Pier. Joining us in Cozumel tomorrow should be Carnival Breeze, Carnival Vista, Carnival Fantasy, and Carnival Freedom. These ships should all be docked at the Puerta Maya Pier.

Here are a few pics from today. . .

I was on Harmony a month ago and took a wonderful safe walking tour with a company called Falmouth Heritage Walks. They also do a food tour. Highly recommend.

We have also done this tour. While it was very hot, it was interesting to see the town and learn some history. Our favorite part was visiting the school.

We will be in Falmouth again on our upcoming cruise on Harmony departing on May 19th! This time we are also doing what Radio did and just do some shopping in the port area and then just go back and enjoy the ship.

Thanks for the review Radio!

Hello everyone and Good Morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE” from Harmony of the Seas. Yesterday I received a call that I wasn’t sure about. The call was from the Hotel Director inviting me to see him later in the day. . . Hmm . . . Did I do something wrong? Is my Credit Card OK? Did I say the wrong thing to someone?. The HD suggested that I meet him for drinks at Vintages later in the evening. Sure, I replied . . . But why?

Well. It turns out that Captain Gus is a big Fan of my “LIVE” with Radio on Harmony of the Seas posts. Actually, he is a FAN of my “LIVE” posts and he found out I was sailing when I met him on Sunday. He remembered my “LIVE” on Grandeur, Enchantment, Anthem, and Allure. Captain Gus suggested to Nibu Sayed (HD) and the HR Manager on board that we would meet in Vintages around 7. I brought two of my associates along and we had a very good time. We spoke about Cruising, Itineraries, past sailings, etc.

We had Formal Night in Coastal Kitchen, and then the HD insisted that we indulge in some Jamie’s Appetizers (Antipasti Plank) and Dessert Plank along with drinks. I thought it was funny when I first received the call that I suggested to Captain Gus Andersson that I thought I did something wrong. . . His reply was gold: “If you did something wrong, the Hotel Director will not call, but you may have a visit from Security”

It was a great meeting. The Officers and Captain were very professional, and they are happy only when passengers are happy. I am very happy to have this crew onboard Harmony of the Seas.

Welcome to Cozumel . . . We arrived around 7:30 AM, and all passengers have been cleared to go ashore. A group of us are planning to go down to Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park. I have been there before and think it may be one of the best places to go.

The forecast for today is very sunny (most of the day) and warm (85F). There is a chance of rain for later in the afternoon.

Here are a few pics from this morning and our arrival.

Enjoying your posts. We found Captain Gus to be very engaging when my wife and I met him one-on-one on the Promenade last December. He and the Staff Captain talked to us for quite a while about the cruise, the ship and even the noon announcements. It was quite an enjoyable conversation. Glad to hear you had a similar experience with him and the other officers.

Hi

Your posts are making me even more excited! We leave at the crack of morning tomorrow to fly southeast across North America to leave on the Harmony on Saturday! Our first time! Very excited.

I absolutely loved your photo of the Abyss and the sunrise in post 106. Enjoy the rest of your sailing!

My guess is that Captain Gus likes your "LIVE" threads for the same reasons that many of the rest of us do. They are straight forward and positive without the controversy that often creates drama on these boards, and you take great pictures. A very nice combination. :D

Hello everyone . . . I had a great day today at Chankanaab Adventure Park. It is only a couple miles south of the International Pier. The cost is $21/pp but it is easy to get discount coupons for admission. There is a lot to do there for everyone. There are several places to eat and many places for beverage purchases. There are pools for families and kids, and a small lagoon with a sandy beach. Many people come here for snorkeling and the crystal clear water is very inviting. There is also a rock climbing wall, zip lines, sea lion shows and Dolphin Discovery.

My group got there early and it was easy to find a prime spot for shade. We were near Blue Lagoon Restaurante. Some went snorkeling, but I just relaxed in the beautiful waster and rested in the shade before a very good lunch. The park has an all-inclusive option, but we just purchase the general admission. Later in the day, it got very crowded with many excursions from several of the Cruise ships in Mexico.

We hung out for a few hours but then decided to get back to the ship and visit the duty-free shops at the port. The sun today really wore me out, and when I got back to the ship, I crashed for a few minutes (AKA “watching news”) It was a perfect weather day, but I would love to spend a few days here in Cozumel.

Here are a few pics of my day. . . Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in.
