MrMojoRisin Posted December 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Next April we will be taking our first cruise on Silver Muse, around Japan. (By the way, it has been pleasing to read that some other Silver Wind enthusiasts have enjoyed the Muse. That bodes well as the Wind is our favourite) I have read that there are to be enhancements to Silversea as part of the Royal Caribbean deal, Project Invictus. The first of these, I believe, is an upgraded champagne and caviar offering, due to roll out on the Muse from August 19th. Has anyone had experience of this or know anything more about the detail of this and any other enhancements there might be?
Randyk47 Posted December 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2018 I remember the announcement but not the details. My impression at the time was that Silversea was going to extend the Muse interior design (i.e., soft goods, colors, wood tones) to the rest of the fleet. As neither of us are big on caviar or champagne that aspect didn’t stick in my memory.
Rocchi Posted December 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2018 The information for what it's worth is in Silversea press release from July 31 https://www.silversea.com/other-resources/press-releases/2018/july-/royal-caribbean-completes-acquisition-of-silversea-cruises-share.html Paragraph seven but no other details. The first Invictus enhancements will begin rolling out on the Silver Muse this upcoming August 19th where an upgraded champagne and caviar offering will be initiated. Immediately thereafter, these and other enhancements will be implemented fleet wide, impacting a wide variety of onboard features and strengthening Silversea’s reputation for indulgent, luxurious embellishments. SSCAF001 Posted December 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Do you think this champagne and caviar offering will be available on the Whisper during the festive season and if yes will it be free of charge?
avalon1025 Posted December 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2018 (edited) We were able to get complementary caviar on the Spirit last month, you had to ask, get through the eye roll and then it was presented. We found out from other passengers on board, they were not super forthcoming about it now being available. We had no problem getting the caviar offering on the Whisper this past fall on a B2B in the Med and the Transatlantic. It was available in the MDR and was made available in La Terrazza both at lunch and dinner. Either we are oblivious or there was no eye roll. Either way, it was a lovely presentation. 1
Rare Silver Spectre Posted December 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2018 It certainly was not available on the Muse in October.
Mayflower1 Posted December 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 5, 2018 Maybe Silver Spectre it was a short lived ' Enhancement ' or they ran out of Caviar but it was certainly available at the end of September on The Muse !!! - However we only experienced In Suite as a Request Pre Dinner and not in a Restaurant. It was a sensible helping beautifully Presented and an echo of what we used to experience regularly on Silversea.
brimary Posted December 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 6, 2018 Good afternoon Mayflower. You so aptly describe the good old times of readily available caviar and cocktails in the bars and suites. However today’s system of roll your eyes and request works well in all bars and suite.Hope the system works when we meet up next year.Hope you enjoy a happy festive season and 2019 especially on the Wind. Mayflower1 Posted December 7, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 7, 2018 Good Morning Silver Spectre - I believe you have hit the nail on the head in that these ' Enhancements' are not being advertised. I only remembered that i had read a Press Release about Project Invictus and merely asked our Butler about The Caviar ( We never drink Champagne ). I believe Silversea count on the average Guest not realising that Requests can be made i.e Special Food Orders and thus they save Money & Effort. Most Guests would not be aware of Project Invictus. Certainly I agree with you that there was no mention of any ' Enhancements ' in Restaurants etc.
pf778c Posted April 3, 2019 #13 Share Posted April 3, 2019 Just saw a blurb about Invictus on Linkedin and a link to some interesting photos, press releases and a highly food-pornographic video: Silversea Project Invictus. Question - doesn't serving caviar with a metal spoon spoil the taste?
Rare jpalbny Posted April 3, 2019 #14 Share Posted April 3, 2019 There was a FB post about Project Invictus yesterday too - sounds great! Will see what differences (if any) are evident on board in August.
pf778c Posted April 4, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 4, 2019 I'm hoping to see good things on my Shadow cruise later this month. Honestly, I'll just be happy to see the return of complimentary caviar!

Rare WesW Posted April 5, 2019 #20 Share Posted April 5, 2019 Like Wellseasoned now experiences on the Whisper, we experienced the same Caviar on demand on the Shadow last week and two weeks ago on the Muse. Project invictus plans for the shadow per HD Martin (last week) include; —deck five to be completely gutted/redone and Arts Cafe added. —Library space merged into what will now be an enlarged Observation lounge. —Le Dame expanded into connoisseur corner. —Connoisseur corner going to deck 8 along with Casino —Panorama Lounge to be redone. Wellseasoned Posted April 6, 2019 #21 Share Posted April 6, 2019 Wes, when asked, the HD here on the Whisper said the same changes you noted coming for the Shadow are also planned for the Whisper.

UpstateJan Posted April 6, 2019 #23 Share Posted April 6, 2019 We were on the Wind last week, and did see some of the Project Invictus. During our dinner with an officer, some of the more subtle things were pointed out to us. First off, with this being only our second SS cruise, we were greeted with a chilled bottle of Champagne in our room. Yes there was caviar - caviar on the little bites in the Bar, caviar in the Restaurant. One thing I found out, I don't like caviar, really odd mouth-feel. As far as the menu options, yes, there were some really interesting things on the menu, and themes. There were more ethnic options, and really nice choices for vegetarians too. One night there were two different curries (I got the shrimp green curry ... OMG!!!!! ). Seriously, if I wasn't so full, I would have asked for seconds. We were told that part of the Invictus is to give the guests an experience to try different foods that are not normal cruise fare. Part of our entertainment was to race to see the menu for dinner at the Restaurant, just to see what unusually offerings there would be. I like that kind of enhancement, and I am happy for another passenger to enjoy my share of the caviar - there were people joyous over it being offered again. Good deal Wellseasoned! It’s nice to know they are going to pour more money into the Whisper after just pouring a bunch of money into her a few months ago. Do you know if this work will be done prior to next year’s World Cruise?
