Are the self service laundries free on Princess as they are on P & O and Cunard?

No they take tokens.  To the best of my memory it is $3 for a washer load and same for a dryer.  That may be off as we have not used them since turning Elite.

Plus some extra $$ for the soap and dryer sheets unless you bring them along.

Fortunately, use of the irons is still free of charge.  For now anyway. As the others have said, it's best to bring your own consumables.

It takes 1 token for the washer and one token for the dryer. Each token is $3. Just washed this week on Regal Princess.

Heck, wasn't it just $2 a token last year?  Oh well, glad to have the ability to do laundry on the longer cruises.  Not looking to pack all the clothes required for 2+ weeks otherwise..

We are used to the laundrettes being free on P & O so this will be a change for us.

The costs for washer, dryer, and soap  on our cruise in March was $7.50 total 3 + 3  + 1.50, and another 1.50 for fabric softener or $9.00 per load. You can reduce the costs and bring your own soap & fabric softener.

Thank You for the price update. I have noted to allow extra for laundry. Just under 10 months to embarkation, and getting excited!

use your cruise card or medallion to get tokens

 

Pro Tip - if you know you will be doing laundry, get your tokens ahead of time ... and bring your own pods

Great info. Does anyone know if there are hours? When we were on HAL, it is supposed be closed after a certain hour but people still used the machines. 

 

I just bought the 3 in 1 sheets from Amazon for my trip next week. $9 for a pack of 10.  Could not find them at the store.
