Captains Club

As far as accruing points on Celebrity, you will be starting at the bottom, but they will give you a courtesy enrollment at the Select level based on your C&A status while you are accruing your Captain's Club points

From the Celebrity website FAQ:

Q.

Does Captain’s Club offer reciprocity with other Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. brands?

A.

Celebrity's Captain's Club program offers reciprocity with Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor program and Azamara's Le Club Voyage program. Captain's Club Classic members receive Le Club Voyage Adventurer benefits. Captain's Club Select members receive Crown & Anchor Platinum and Le Club Voyage Explorer benefits. Captain's Club Elite members receive Crown & Anchor Diamond and Le Club Voyage Discoverer benefits. The same holds true for Crown & Anchor members and Le Club Voyage members when sailing on Celebrity. Credits are not combinable across brands; however, as members move up in tier, the membership level will be automatically upgraded across all enrolled programs. If you are currently a member of both Captain's Club and Crown & Anchor programs, you will automatically receive benefits based on your highest membership level between the two. The benefits of the two programs will stay independent, and the number of sailings a member accrues on each brand will not be combined. You will earn the tier credit for the brand you are sailing as long as you are a member of that brand's loyalty program.

If you are a Captain's Club member but not a member of the Crown & Anchor Society, and plan on sailing with Royal Caribbean, or you are a Crown & Anchor member but not a Captain's Club member and plan on sailing with Celebrity Cruises, please call the Captain’s Club at 1-844-418-6824 if within the U.S. or contact your International Office or Representative if outside the U.S. to enroll in the equivalent tier.

Also, please remember to provide your membership number when booking a Celebrity cruise to ensure you receive your Club Points and benefits while sailing.

Am I correct then in saying that if we transfer over (Diamond on Royal) to Elite status in the Captain's club (which = 300-799 points) that since our accrual level is actually 0 and not somewhere between 300-799 we are actually 800 points from Elite Plus?

Does that make sense?

Basically, unless we moved to X full-time and rack up 800 points, we are stuck forever at Elite?

Yes.  You will need to accrue all your points on either =X= or Azamara, which combine points.

We're the same, only vice versa.  We're Elite on Celebrity...stuck forever at Diamond.😀

Is it possible to  find your Captains Club number?    As usual we have lost it!

Yes, I should be available to you when you log on the X Website.  If you can not log in, you can call CC and they can give you your number, status and help you to get logged back on to the website.

The Captains Club number is 800-760-0654. They will look it up for you. If you've not logged into Celebrity for a few years you'll need help because the login changed from a user name to your email. You can try logging in with the same email and password you use on Royal, but it may need updating on Celebrity's end.

Cheep up, you only need 750 points to hit Elite Plus 😉. And being "stuck" at Elite is a nice place to be stuck.

Welcome to Celebrity.

We are finally Elite on X thanks to 2 12-day cruises we took w/Royal and this last 15-day TA on Celebrity.

Unusual comment since the points for the cruises on Royal would not accrue to Celebrity. Are you saying you made Diamond on RCI and Elite on Celebrity due to the three cruises and thus have both even without the reciprocity?

We were Elite Plus on Celebrity so it made us Diamond on RCL when we took our first cruise with them. Since then we have done enough cruises on RCL to make Diamond even without reciprocity. We are Ruby on Princess, Three Star on HAL, and Black on MSC. One and done on NCL. Carnival, not an option. We make our choices based on first hand experience, not individual reviews or opions.

These weren't our only cruises, just the ones we have done most recently.  It's possible our 15 day TA put us over the top for Elite, but we have been cruising for 25 years and not all with Celebrity.  Definitely not Diamond on RCI on points.

if you log in to 'my celebrity'   it will show your points and level. It may take up to 2 weeks post cruise to update.

Well to be fair, we'll be Diamond Plus on Royal long before that.

But I'm happy to try X.

That is correct.   You are only receiving a reciprocity matching level and start with Zero points.   Works the same way in the opposite direction.
