Has Ricky finished doing your granddaughters homework yet?

Yes he did.

Now he is trying to figure out how to improve his racing skills.

She got some early, but is hoping that one of us will have forgotten.

Maybe you need to rename your cat to Ricky Bobby.  If you’re not first, your last. 😂

She is back to normal! Apparently she made herself afraid to throw up, so she opted to quit eating. No blockages or anything were detected.

This is great to read.

Trying to decide if she has the energy to come downstairs. Cats have an awfully difficult life having to make these daily decisions.

I truly hope these weather systems take a break when February gets here. I NEED some good weather for Odyssey.

What’s your itinerary? Hope you have a great time.

16 degrees here.  No snow, just bright sunshine which warms things slightly.  Going to relax today and enjoy life indoors.

Yesterday was Jack's birthday which was spent with a bunch of friends for a late lunch, hanging around the restaurant for over 2 hours laughing, eating, drinking, enjoying each other's company.  We had such a great time together (8 of us) that we continued our good time at our house for another few hours.  We just didn't want our good time to end. I love our gang!

Happy belated birthday to Jack!

4 weeks from now I should be on Anthem. Definitely ready for a break!

Our next cruise is March 3rd on the Anthem.    Even though we have done this itinerary to the Bahamas several times I always enjoy a cruise to somewhere warm and sunny!

Absolutely! This is my first time on the Anthem - or any ship this large - so I am a bit nervous. But warm is good.

We leave in a week for Sydney.  Very excited!  Watsons is on the list.

It’s such  a lovely ferry ride.  Take your swimmers.  There is a lovely harbour beach - Camp Cove …..or if you forget your swimmers, there is a nudist beach close by…  You can see it from the  South Head Historic loop trail which is a must do.

Enjoy your time in Sydney pre-cruise next week.  Such a lovely time of year to be here.

I'm sure you will love Anthem.    We have sailed on her several times and always enjoy the Quantum class size ships.    Make sure you check out the 270 lounge / theater and the Cafe.   270 Cafe is a good place to go for lunch (kummelweck sandwiches, salads made to order, and other sandwiches made to order as well as their tuna wrap which I also enjoy.

Since you are sailing in February out of Cape Liberty your first full day at sea will probably be too chilly to hang outside at the pool deck but no worries the indoor pool and the multi tiered solarium is really nice.

We also enjoy Vintages bar in the Via on deck 5.    Not a huge fan of the location of the schnooner bar as we prefer Radiance class ships where you can sit and look outdoors.

On nice days we enjoy sitting at the outdoor section of the windjammer (go all the way to the back).  There are steps that will take you up to the area where flowrider and I-fly are located (fun to watch) and easy access to the sports area.   Indoor Hot dog stand (kielbasa, sausage, etc) in this area too.  Bumper cars are always fun too!

what deck is your cabin?

I have 6248 - one of the solo studio balcony cabins - I think it's one with one of the larger balconies for them.

So what do you do when it is bitter cold outside and you keep thinking of warm sunny places you could be....book another cruise.   We booked a 5 night Bermuda cruise on Liberty OTS for September.  Eric received the casino offer last week for a OV Balcony with $125 freeplay.    Works perfect with my vacation schedule (cruise march 3rd, 2 weeks at shore house in June, cruise in sept) and fit in there a 4 or 5 night trip to Cape Coral, FL in near future.

Amazingly fast booking when I called the club royale number it took a total of 8 minutes to complete and was told we could upgrade to a spacious OV balcony at no additional cost.

The three cheese melt toasted panini in the Cafe is really good!

Yes, that does have a very large balcony.    You will love that location.    Deck 6 is one of our favorites.

If able to do steps, it is an easy access to walk to deck 5 and don't tell anyone but there is a "secret" door at the aft of deck 6 that will take you to the library and 270 theater.

Walk out your cabin door and make a right then continue to the end of the ship and look for a unmarked metal door (is heavy) - that is the "secret" door.   Walk down the steps there and you can go to the cafe or lounge.

So guess who came back, and we supplied her with a few more treats. It’s 14F and feels like 1F. She has the thickest winter coat, same as every winter

No.  She looks for some pets and snacks.

Now, if you open the door to the big barn she’s ready to get in. In fact she got in there Wednesday afternoon when a neighbour was getting hay, and we didn’t know. We let her out 20 hours later and she was waiting at the door for us. Her belly was fully from the hunt.

Would Lucy enjoy being inside the house during winter?

I don’t think so.  As a farm cat, she’s spoiled.
