Did it all. I also have an old roller skate key. I didn't realize I had it until a few weeks ago when I was looking for a screwdriver in my tool box and there it was.  I made my first skate board in 1962 out of roller skates and a 2x4. Not very stable but fun.

I never had a skate board.

I was up early to watch the eclipse. Went out a bit before 6, and then woke Lisa and Owen to see it.

Closer to Toronto they had a much better view. Another words the sun was blocked more by the moon.

We only had a small portion of the sun blocked out.

I have a razor that I bought in 1959 and until a few years ago I had my fathers electric shaver that he bought in 1964.

I believe that. You've posted before you use to have a really long beard. So you had no need to use either. 😁

I just got off the phone with a childhood friend who I last saw 66 years ago.We were discussing our childhood and the fact that our grandkids never heard of most of the games we played when we were kids.

And most of us probably never heard of the specific games, probably electronic, that our grandkids play.  Their memories will be different than ours but their memories will be the ones they cherish.

None of my friends had bikes.  We all had roller skates and wore the skate key to tighten and loosen them around our necks.

I remember being a kid and liking the silly Melanie song, but beyond knowing she was singing about roller skates and the key, I had no idea why.  I imagine that she was talking about being a kid in the city after what you posted.

LOL.  Reading about roller skates and keys made me think of that song, too.  That song is stuck in my head now.

Correct.I still have a beard. My fathers razor was not functioning for many years .I called the manufacturer and I was told that there is only one repair store in the entire US .I was a few blocks away from where I live .My wife brought it in and the guy was so surprised that anyone still had a razor that long that he repaired it for free.

I am profoundly sorry.  I am waiting for Lenny to tell me they had relations in the back of the record shop.

Probably, I know at least a few of our charters had Miami on the plane.  We used to do trips back when I was young about every other year.  Back in the early 90s until about 2000, we would do 5 day trips to somewhere, Bermuda, Jamaica, Tahoe, Vegas, Cabo 2 times, and maybe other places, those were always about 600-700 trips usually we would put as many people on the charter times 3.  So, if you had my job in 1996 my first trip to Cabo (didn’t have my job then) you would go down commercial a few days early and fly home commercial a few days after the last trip.  We did a lot less trips in the 2000s.  We lost a small fortune of several hundreds of thousands in 2008 when the charter company for our December trip to Aruba, just two trips staying at the Westin, went bankrupt.  We had to book another charter, I didn’t have my job then but I was the owner’s right hand so we were very involved and spent two weeks in a very nice suite at the Westin, entertaining every night from 4 to 80.  That is exhausting.

So, I am guessing yes, we have used them, I would say 98% likely.  Most of the charters we used were based out of Florida.  Our last big trip was to Atlantis in 2012.  That was my one and only show.  We had a bit under 300 people, and we did it in style.  Afterwards, a friend of the boss his entire life who didn’t buy enough to qualify for the trip and who brought 20 family members bid a $1 million dollar job not paying  a penny for 20 people in Atlantis for 5 nights, including food, drinks and air, and didn’t buy the job from us because we were less than $5000 high.

The boss decided the trips were not economically persuasive any more.  I might be able to do a going to retirement trip and business is very good in price is not important post covid world, do you have it, and in our market we have more than all of our competitors.

I booked a cruise for October because that’s when my FCCs (not due to covid) had to be used by. At the end of the booking I asked if they would be extending the date since I still had 2 more. She said till next September. I almost cancelled right then because I really didn’t want to sail this year and wait for things to calm down.

Didn’t get around to canceling and now the cruise has been changed to the Odyssey. Still not keen on going if masks would have to be worn, which I know things are changing daily. I was assigned a room yesterday and it’s an aft balcony. I’m going to take it even if I will have to wear a mask. I will be spending a lot of time watching the wake. So glad I didn’t cancel. Love, love the aft cabins.

I think you will like the Odyssey.  I hope someday I will get to be on it.  I really liked the Anthem and the Ovation.

I think I will to. I wasn’t really looking forward to cruising this year, but the price I paid and then it gets changed to the Odyssey and put in an aft balcony made me completely change my mind. 😁

Yup.  She had the skates, he had the key.  Not sure why.

@A&L_Ont  I didn't want to repost your eclipse photos but they're stunning.  I love the shadows  on the driveway in back of Lucy.  You and Lisa?

We had our first Diamond cruise on our 30th wedding anniversary in August 2011 on Adventure out of Malaga.

We did the Adventure out of Malaga.  It was such a great cruise for us because it was so convenient to home.  I loved the Adventure.  I would have done that more often but I think it was not popular with the staff and RCI.  They got a different demographic and so lots of people spent their evening playing cards and drinking tea.  We were told that the casino and bars were empty and too few people buying tours.

Back when songs were innocent melodies.  “Baby it’s cold outside” gets lambasted a few years and this year at the Grammies they change the lyrics to WAP so it can be preformed around the world. Just wait until I’m 50 next year and the complainants start to flow. 😂

Owen came out too.  We all had our glasses on while we glanced at the sun or looked through our phone camera screens.

Good morning and Happy Friday.

Of course I am Happy Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, being retired and all.

Ok, so now let me get to the heart of the Matter.

I got my I phone 11 when they came out, and had everything properly entered, passwords, Apps, Amazon (🙄) banking, and facial recognition.  I did good.......................well I asked my DD nicely and she set it up.

Now the DH being as clueless as me right now and the DD in Kentucky, I need help with the CC app.

OK.

I recently was informed by the powers that be that they made me change my password on CC on the phone (do not know what happened).

So now when I want to post on the IPHONE it comes up as my sign on, and is keeping the old password.

It (new password) does not automatically come up, nor can I get facial recognition to log in.

So I hit on the password, and if I do it too much it tells me It is locked and I cannot attempt to log in for 15 min.

So ??????

1.  How do I change the password on the IPHONE (to the new password)  to automatically come up like it used to.

2.  I would love to set up facial recognition like my other important apps have.

3.  I really do not want to travel to Kentucky and visit the daughter for my lack of knowledge.

I went to the local I phone store and got no where fast, but they wanted to sell me a new phone.

Oh.

I did try googling this, but lol, yea that is going to happen.

So I figured I try here on a CC site.

Where all the kind and friendly tech savvy smart people are.  (hint hint)

Thank you.

As a child, I had a wind up plastic shaver with a cord and a suction cup. I would mimic my Dad in the morning shaving...........and I remember him saying that someday I would wish that I didn't have to shave - he was right!!!! I have a beard and mustache (but still have to trim them).
