@kernow if you get to see any execution prices onboard it would be handy to know. We are not buying in advance so we can use the OBC once on the ship, the internet says there is a 20% saving buying in advance so it would be good to know if that is a true reflection of the difference in price.

Do I recall you purchasing the funpass? We have bought one (just one to share) for our cabin, if you did buy it, it would be great to know how you get on.

Have a great time, sounds like you are 🙂

I don't think they do executions!!!!

That has made me smile this evening, thank you!

Kernow: it's such a pleasure reading a review again!  Dare I say, it almost feels normal, and it's definitely fun.

When you have a sec, we'd love to hear how the Covid protocols are going?  We're in the States, and it's looking more and more like, when they get going, US MSC cruises are not going to be fully vaxxed and will require masking and distancing.

Wondered how that was going for you and how you're finding it. Are things being strictly enforced?

If you have any other comments or insights on the protocols, we'd love to hear them.

Thanks for for taking the time with these questions.

Did you get to watch the F-1 race?

Yes it was on in the pub, only on small screens behind the bar though so quite difficult to see. Very happy with the result today though as we're not Lewis fans and nice to see different people on the podium.

We've just asked in Hola and it's open for lunch on boarding day 12 till 2.

We can recommend it, the food was great and our waiter Kadek was lovely.

Thanks so much for taking the trouble to ask. Fingers crossed for a speedy boarding!

Just checked in the app. Liverpool has sightseeing for 49.99 and Chester for 55.99. Greenock has Glasgow for 49.99 and Panoramic Lochs for 52.99.

I did purchase a fun pass but haven't used it yet, I'll let you know when we do.

Thanks for this, we are poised to book for the end of June tomorrow.

Can I ask if they are purely coach trips when you cannot leave the coach and do you have an idea of how long the trips last?

Yes, they are all coach trips. There was a walking trip in Liverpool and a boat trip on Loch Lomond but they seem to be sold out now. You are not allowed to leave the group. It states the duration in the description.

Thank you very much for that.  Can I ask if you know what time the set dinner sittings are, just waiting for agent to open.

Everything feels surprisingly normal.

The main difference is the low number of passengers onboard which makes the ship feel empty at times. I really notice it walking down the Promenade, somewhere that would normally be busy only ever has a handful of other people around. The theatre too has been fairly empty. All venues have seats marked as not in use to enforce the social distancing, there are still always lots of seats with the low numbers.

Masks have to be worn while moving around inside and out. You are allowed to remove them when seated for eating or drinking (or on a sunlounger). In effect most people remove them the moment they sit down which seems to be allowed. They do announce in the theatre that masks should be worn but I've noticed people removing them once the performance starts.

The vast majority of people are conforming without being told, this has pretty much been the law in the UK for the last year and we are all used to it now. Because of this it's been no problem for us and hasn't spoilt the cruise. I'm not sure how it would go down in the US as from what I've seen mask wearing has not been so widespread for you?

All of the staff wear masks all of the time apart from the performers (and people like the CD when he is speaking to an audience).

None of this has bothered us and it all feels very safe. I'm sure a couple of years ago this would have sounded unbelievable but it's amazing how we've all changed. We're just loving being able to cruise again.

At the moment there are no set dinner times, it's all open seating between 6 and 8.30, I don't know if this will change as numbers increase.

Someone asked me to post MDR menus, I'm sorry I can't as when I go to the interactive screens and swipe my card it picks up YC and only shows those menus! If anyone else is onboard and can do it please do.

Silly question time - I know you can spend pounds on board on the U.K. sailings but do the casino machines/anywhere else take euros aswell ? Just thinking I’ve got euros left over from years ago. May aswell use them if there’s a chance.  I know on royal Caribbean u can use cash in various currencies in the machines.

I asked in the casino last night and they only take Sterling.

Thank you again, I greatly appreciate that and also confirms we need to book an earlier cruise, rather than a later one when more people are on the ship 🙂

Don't worry if not but someone from the 4 nighter was able to download the PDFs from the MSC app and upload them here ☺

Our app picks up that we are in YC and only shows those menus😀. Hopefully someone else will be able to do it.

Then yesterday we had an email to say our bid for a YC inside had been successful so now (hopefully finally) we have a cabin on deck 16, can't wait to try YC.

We just got the same email today for our cruise following yours, looking forward to hearing all about it!

I did the ones on the 4 night maiden voyage. It was by scanning the QR code in the MDR / bars and then saving to my mobile prior to uploading. Not taken from the app as they are not pdf’s

Just received an email to say that tomorrow's Liverpool check in has been moved to the ACC Convention  Centre. Checks will be done there and then buses will transport guests to the ship. Luggage will be sent from the Convention Centre.
