Good Morning,  just had an omelet and am enjoying the back pool with another cup of coffee.   It's a nice breeze that DH declared cold. 

No club orange bags.  The concierge said that they were out of them.

The gentle and sometimes not so gentle rocking of the ship is great for sleeping.  I feel like I'm catching up on some missed sleep since Mona isn't waking me up at 1:30 for pets.

My mask observation is that most passengers are not wearing the.  At HMC masks were required to disembark but very few obeyed.  I did have mine on since that was the rule the captain stated.

They must have run out we had two waiting for us on our 2/13 voyage on the NS Neptune Suite.  Much better than the blue bags will all of the pockets on the outside.

I love the flowers (and vases) they have in the Neptune Lounges.   Very pretty!  I turned one of them the right way.

Is NY Pizza and Deli open for breakfast? I saw one menu online that had breakfast items but another said it didn’t open till 11:00.

The Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam do not have the NY Pizza & Deli - they have NY Pizza. NY Pizza opens at 11 and does not offer breakfast items.

 

Only the Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam have NY Pizza & Deli.  They offer breakfast and movie snack items plus salads and desserts.

After walking downtown we came back to the ship for lunch.  We both had the fried chicken and it was very good.

Love the art on the walls of the buildings.  Here in Kent the city has started allowing local artists to paint the electrical boxes that sit on corners and look ugly.   Now they are a work of art and everyone is happy to see them.

I gave up on decent Holland America bags a long time ago.  I bring my own canvas now.  Wish they still provided those rather than the cheesy plastic ones they give you now.

They are doing the same here in Dana Point. It is a competition for locals and there is a small cash prize awarded. The design must have a local theme. For example the one in Monarch Beach has monarch butterflies and the one near my house is “Surf California”. It really brightens the area.

As long as I've been here (over 50 years) Baltimore City has been putting out salt boxes on hills on busy streets and for years they were just UGLY.  About 2 years ago an artist has been sprucing them up:

I’ve always brought my own but the club orange ones are very nice.
