Have it All Package now allowed with Casino Offers

Good morning!

Just wanted to share that when I logged into my online account to check in for my June Alaska cruise, I was given the offer to upgrade to the Have it All package at $50 per person per day even though I'm booked on a casino rate.

I reached out to my PCC and she got it added to both of my casino rate cruises.  Just an FYI for anyone else who might find benefit to this package.

The Have it All upgrade is on the first leg of my Zaandam cruise, not the second.  I’m not seeing the value for us to add this.  Wifi and drinks are the parts that would interest me.  If it included crew appreciation then I’d change my mind.

I wonder if I would have to pay additional insurance if I took this?

Also - note that you have to have booked your cruise prior to April 21 to qualify.

No booking and adding it seems.

Great deal for a 10 day cruise!

Thanks for the info!  They're letting us do it on our June 22 Northern Isles cruise, which we booked as a casino offer.  It's a great deal for us since we were going to add a drink package, wifi, an excursion or two, and some specialty dining anyway

That is a very interesting question. Travel insurance has gotten so complicated since Covid. Common sense would say no, that if you cancelled the cruise for any reason HAL should refund additional purchases (like shore excursions and the drink package), BUT I don't trust the insurance industry. They have all types of little niggles and clauses added. I'd make a call to my insurance co and have them show me their answer in writing. Let us know what you find out because I'm curious.

When we added the Have it All to our cruise, it did increase the cost of the insurance we purchased with Holland America.

Gah! We got this same HIA banner ad on our screen 2 days ago & immediately called about adding it. They told us they couldn't do it on our casino rate Alaska cruise coming up in September. Now I'm ticked and I guess hubby and/or I will be spending a bunch of time on hold with HAL trying to get someone that will add it for us. 😠

I was told no yesterday when I emailed my PCC but she emailed this morning saying they got more guidance and it could now be combined. Fingers crossed it works for you too!

I just called the number to add the Have It All package and the agent was extremely rude and unhelpful.  He kept trying to tell me it was over $1400 to add it on to a 14 night cruise (when the website clearly says it's an extra $50 per day).  My PCC is completely useless so I'm not sure what to do.  Any suggestions?

It's $50 per person per day so for 14 days that is $1400.

I'll need to think about it.  I'm solo on a B2B Alaska.  I've already "upgraded" myself by adding Club Orange, just so I could pick my cabin.  That was $175 ea leg.  This would be another $700.

But since we have those late port days, the casino won't be open a couple of evenings until it's nearly my bedtime 😁 and it doesn't seem as though I'll get much benefit from the Drinks While Gambling perk.

I wasn't  going to bother with wi-fi (hoping I'd have cell service in ports.

And I don't do a lot of ship excursions.

Really doesn't seem like it will be cost effective for me.  Too bad I can't substitute crew incentives for the shore excursions!

But I'm the verge of booking a casino offer for next January.  Hopefully I would get more use from it then.

That's great!

I just checked my July booking and it is not an option for our cruise. But definitely a positive thing going forward.

Rochelle

I’d still call and ask. Maybe you could still get it ☺️

Exactly @Florida_gal_50

I totally forgot to post this after I talked to our PCC. She booked us a nicely reduced Mariner discount rate and "added on" the "Have it All" package for $45 pp/pd for 8 days. Saved us over $300 each for 3 of us from the standard "Have it All."   That was a nice surprise.

That’s awesome.  The one thing I like about have it all is having a drink if I want.  Usually I don’t want.  I may bite later on.  My next cruise is fairly far away.

I called yesterday trying to add it and after waiting for about 30 minutes was told my booking was not eligible since it was a casino offer. Then why is there a banner add on "my bookings" page for the cruise!?!  HAL really needs to get better web content management.
